If I'm out and about and feel that someone is threatening anyone I will defend that person if they are unable to does not matter if I know them or not. So in essence I would even protecting a stranger.

True but there is a huge difference between protecting someone that can't protect themselves and one who goes out and does it for chits and giggles.
One shows compassion for every human life the other shows disregard for every human life.
