In all seriousness I try to look at it philosophically,do not beat myself up too much and take a little time out.And I never view her as being a mistake.
single4ever: I did drink heavily but now just gave upo and stay single forever.
forever is such a long time, you sure you don't want to date just one more and make him pay for all the hurt the others have caused you....... could be fun, thumb screws, the rack, hot pokers.......

Looks like the poll got hijacked, as long as there is some answering one another, that's good. Need more of that. Just so you know, if I start a thread and someone hijacks it (many people look down on getting off subject-stealing thread), just keep the communication going and no complaints from me. Anyway back to poll ?. I take my time getting through the grieveing process and take time to just be me. Don't want to hurt a gentleman if I am on the rebound, so when I am ready to date again, put my baggage in memories box and start fresh.

Took me 5 years to get over my break up of 20 year marriage. I must have needed it don't any more am very happy and out there again in the world of "livin life n lovin it" I want to meet people and enjoy my life and lol
Easy...do not think about it. If she didn't love you, or want you anymore...her loss, not yours. It will not be easy to forget, BUT never do the mistake of feeling inferior because you got dumped. So go out there, and enjoy life as much as you can. Your life is not infinite...to spend it anguishing over someone, you're only wasting your time.
If you want your next relationship to work, you need to take time to get it out of your system otherwise you'll enter a new relationship with your mind still on the old one, that aint gonna work. My last relationship ended excactly 3 years ago today and it's only the past 6 or 7 months that I can trully say I'm over it.
