My b/f and I have plenty of converstaions regarding politics.I We just don't shove our beliefs/disbliefs down one another's throat.He respects my views and I respect his.

it is depending on circumctances,i wouldnt have it like the most important discussion topic,but at the same time you cant avoid it,especially if something major is happening..

1.Aristotle was quite mad as most ancient philosophers were. 2.Politics is not a switch you flip on and off..'It's On..' 3.Talking about 'politics' on a date may have relevance if your date knows what country he/she lives in. 4.People really don't respect 'others' point of view..It's good politics to make them think you do.
Of course you might have to 'talk' about 'it' if something like World War III has just started..but then again better whisper..someone might here you..

I usually find a barrage of extremely right-wing views is enough to finish things off - it's a useful trick for when you're on one of those dates that you really want get out of, but don't want to offend her personally.
