This is something I have had a few arguments over. I kind of knew the person who was doing the catfishing and he was doing it for fun. I told him to take it down...Which he did, I believe. I was told later that what I did was wrong! That my Ex was a big girl now and is quite able to look after herself or should I have informed her. lastly done absolutely nothing!
Catfishing. The phenomenon of internet predators that fabricate online identities and entire social circles to trick people into emotional/romantic relationships ...

Did you or she render you an Ex? I suspect she did. Why would you do this otherwise? Are you watching her activity here?

Well for me ex is ex and I don't care and there is no still care either. So in this sens I don't have any opinion about it.
See I have a different take on this... I think you would have been better to let your ex know what was happening and let HER choose what to do with the information. .. by letting the guy know you were on to him it probably just meant he deleted that particular profile and created another - which left her still at risk. ..if, on the other hand you had told her, she could have blocked him and end of story. .. (or had some fun herself !! hee hee ) This response is based on the understanding that your ex's welfare was your primary concern... If he was that kind of a nasty character to do that in the first place, you demanding he take down his profile was hardly going to change his behaviour !
And with reference to an earlier comment, I really hope you're NOT monitoring your ex on here - that woulddbe tantamount to stalking !! Sick SICK behaviour - as bad if not worse than cat fishing

You two, missed and missed2 are playing out your real life cat and mouse game on here on a public forum, that is sad it`s time to grow up lads. My reading of this poll is she is mad with him for interfering in her new love life, he still cares for her,and while he knows in his heart that he should not be interfering, his heart is ruling his head, do not forget he was your husband and is the father of your children so he may not have intended harm to you when he did what he did, this is all IMO only.
Now i am off to give that Polaska goboy a bit of my mind

You really need to work on your stalking technique.
All this high fangled techno catfish stalking just doesn't have the same level of creepiness and desperation of the more traditional methods.
Try hanging around in the bushes outside her home,
Casually dropping into her workplace,
Just happen to drive by her house when she is mowing the lawn,
Bumping into her in the supermarket kind of thing.

I think the conclusion has been based that you two are ex's because of the user names. If you are, then loads of alarms bells ringing for me.

Ah, I see.... it would be a bit creepy for him to take the same user name as me if he was !

Being of the old school i have only one x and if anyone wants to read your testimonials on here as i did they will see he had made a lovely one to you 3 days ago. So he was your ex of a kind, then or not?

Best of luck with it.
Great post Stanley but you failed to mention trees which offer an excellent vantage point if positioned correctly to the targets house.Technology has robbed our culture of the classic hobbies and pastimes of the deranged. At one point everyone who was anyone in the acting world had their own stalker. It spoke volumes about the actor if they didn't have one,the cause of much upset to the aspiring screen idol.

Lol. I never even knew there was such a thing as testimonials - never mind where to find them ! Hardly a glowing reference !! But evidently our paths must have crossed...

And when you cannot physically stalk them the old internet is wonderful, get them to add you as a friend on fb, then you can get their pictures and print them off and fill your spare room with them, you can even make a life size cardboard cut out of them

Too true Larry, I think between the two of us we could work on this chap and try to create an organic prototype of the 21st century stalker.
As you suggest, we could start by reviving the good old traditional stalker traits, hiding behind bushes and climbing conveniently placed trees, albeit with restrained use of technological gadgets adding a contemporary twist.
I presume he has her phone number, and when he realises the nice guy who is looking out for her on the internet ruse doesn't work. I would recommend him to partake in a spot of demented obsessive texting, at least forty or fifty texts per day, and not to forget the old classic of making desperate phone calls at 3am.
