I wouldnot be interested in a Man who was unemployed as a 'Lifestyle' who didnot make any attempt to downshift to get some type of job, or even take up study to give himself a better chance of getting a job. If I was with a man who lost his job through recession/place closing down , I would expect HIM to have a lovely Dinner ready for me when I got home tired... and a cool drink, and massage my neck... What planet am I living on ? Well, I can dream can't I ?
Keeneye101: i have been let go a number of times from jobs and people who i was dateing left me soon after and when i went to move on no one wood be wanting to meet up when i get a new job its like im more interesting but i feel the same is it a big turn off being unemployed
Son: Dad, How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Dad: A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. WOOD does not mean WOULD.

I have dated a number of men who were unemployed and it never bothered me at all. At the moment, it is hard to get employment if you lose a job so I wouldn't judge someone because they don't have paid work. There are other things that make a man undateable but not that he's merely unemployed.
