I voted yes..not because it should not be done..but because what is being done..Improving the quality of plants and even crossing certain strains ..nature has been doing that on its own since time beginning and then farmers did it and botanist do it hobby gadners..but there is a big difference if you try improve on a grain by crossing it with a grain which is resistant to mildew or drought..or inserting a gen strand from a tobacco plant because it is natural bug resistant..one might think that hey it's a good idea but the problem is the effect that can have down the road..it can mutate and could cause who knows what harm..and the thing is although this might sound paranoid..they could be used as a weapon..a grain which is used in a certain country could get amnipulated in such a way to cause inferility..those ppl would die out or something which would cause the imumne system to weaken and on and on..who knows that stuff might already exist..because ppl well can't be really trusted..and there is always someone who is not happy, or is power hungry or what not.. and for those reasons it should be banned..JMO
