Not much...Just decide to move on, whatever amicable way you can...Someone like that, can and will, turn away from you at any tick of the clock, set up rejections and all sorts. Not worth the heart ache, so hopefully you found out sooner rather than later.

It depends whether the person is scared to commit or doesn't want to.
If they are scared then sensitivity and patience may be rewarded.
If they don't want to commit then you either have to accept and enjoy the relationship for what it is or look for someone else

Forget/ignore what you have been advised so far and read this carefully:
Decide what you want to be when you grow up.
Option "A". Normal like most. Then give up on the person that you love and move on, on the off chance that you might meet another love in your life, (if you are lucky).
Option "B". Abnormal (read Special). Persevere and find out what YOU are doing wrong. More often than not, you are lacking communication skills and you are not putting your message across in away that it is understood properly. Re-view your boundaries. You might find that you are too demanding. If she is worth fight for, then do it.

A lot of good replies, but I'll add a question, would you be willing to move near her, (if distance is involved?), for you could get somewhere and take it from there in seeing eash other on a more continual basis than you already are.. (you may even be able to take a break from your current employer, giving you the chance to see if you like the area)..
Also, we do not know how long you have been seeing each other or how many times you have met, so maybe, as others have said, patience is key, depending on how long you are willing to wait..

It happened to me no way was there gonna be any commitment going on then the next thing he goes on holiday to see his son. Still talking to me daily. Something changes he keeps wrintg me these long emails tell me he does not want a relationship and I tell him I feel the same............ So we just have fun together no big deal. Guess what I look at his f/b and there he is with another woman. He comes back from holiday tells me he is not with her to my face and 3 weeks later he finally tels me he is with her all over f/b and how much he loves her. That is after only being with her for 17days and he live in main land spain and she on the islands. So my advice is move on and fast.......Most of the time they are only waiting for something better.
