I just have to vote... No

I don't think Muslims can possibly integrate into Europe in the current numbers. They don't speak the languages of their host countries. I think Europe will collapse and descend into chaos.

you can't plane out the millions that walk in.
but the promised land is going into bits.
The islamisation is going to hurt bad. less equality, less enlightened courts,
The people itself are fine. The collective is going to be hard to alter and introduce to europe

I voted yes as you're asking if more are coming? Maybe misunderstood?

Merkel should have aligned with the EU and not welcomed poor workers. Now she tries the EU to shoulder this.

This will change the EU but I actually care more about the diseases they bring with them.

I like to know how many IS fighters will also come to europe as migrants and in 10 years we have here the chaos.

so NO for more migrants here in europe. our countries may support those migrants in their home country that they not even have the idea to come here. would be also cheaper.

here in germany some people already would like to have free internet for the migrants. and the stupid german always will pay. stop this ! ! !

And who voted for your current and previous government? It was Sweden that invited them first!

I voted NO, although the question should be: more migrants from Muslim countries. Migrants from other parts of the world integrate, they participate in the workforce and do not cause problems making demands because of their religion.

Europe should immediately change the asylum system and NOT GIVE residence or citizenship to the ones that have come. EU should finaly use its countries' navies to prevent the ones coming from entering Europe.

War Refugees are intended to return home after the war, but I doubt they will ever go away! Economic Migrants remaining the main problem, it will take a while before Europe put a limit on the accomodation capacity. A public local consultation (referendum) on this, however edifying, should set new limits to this possible chaos. Now, will we be brave enough to tell the truth ?

No one is going back, both categories can get residence and citizenship, that is what is wrong and should be changed immediately.

Voted blank at the last election - as there was no party that I feel would represent me. There ought to be a few empty chairs in Swedish parliament for all, who voted blank.

And I think there ought to be a referendum on the matter of pseudo-Syrians refugees.

Women and children and elderly and sick - yes. Those, who storm Hungarian borders... They are fit enough to make something of their country, if they are discontent with the situation. I am not obliged to feed them. I don't want them and there mentality here.

Next question?

I don't fully agree.
=creating a second class citizen with limited rights will give an apartheid situation. As you don't know how long things will take, i suppose you assume worst case scenario.

I don't think the civilians should be punished.

Well, if you check the situation in different European countries in terms of returning people to their own countries - it is horrible!
If you take an example of the war in Bosnia, many migrated to the Scandinavian countries and only a few returned when they could. Norway for example even changed its law to enable everyone to stay, Denmark gave everyone the choice and of course why would you go back to a poor country when you can live in a rich one????

Another example are Somalis in Norway - they never returned BUT they send their children to Somalia to go to religious schools over there or spend holidays with the whole family in what they otherwise claim to be a dangeours place from which they had to escape.

Yet another example are those who come illegally and don't have any grounds for asylum - even those stay, especially if they are criminals - we are sooo bloody good here, we cannot return anyone to their own country if he is to be punished for a crime there!!!

So, whoever sets foot on European soil gets to stay. If we want to help, then some need to go back, we cannot keep on accepting more and more.

We have to admit the European civilians are taken hostage by their democratic governments!! They always wanted a "controlled immigration" to keep up their economies in order to sustain the models of a care state.
Now we see an organised and controlled immigration of well informed and instructed people and not by our governments! It is the final chapter of an Islamisation proces that started in the former century. In some European countries 1/5 is muslim.
They already have a state in a state. They have their own attorneys, doctors and other skilled craftworkers thanks to our educational system and...politicians who allowed it. They now have their own politicians, who have influenced the politics of our countries already. Up till now they respected our laws. But now it is time to respect the koran and to welcome their brothers and sisters of the same religion.
NO ONE WILL STOP THEM!!!
This can escalate and result in a call for a new extreme leadership. A leadership that can be a dictator with a totalitarian view to reforming.
In what it can end we all know. Do our politicians know it????
What can we do??

The situation becomes worser. today I saw on the tv journal thousands of "refugees" were facing the ice cold water when crossing a border river in order to reach Austria. They were brought there by.....buses and train !!! Incredible what they can stand in order to reach their goal. And that is not for rest and peace because in the East Europe is no war and is it safe .Secondly the meeting of Assad and Poetin. Two dangerous crooks. Now the Russian Airforce is bombing all rebellian groups. Assad wants all resistance to be broken and cleaned up. What does the international community? NOTHING. Why?? The answer must be found in the words "money, money". To much countries depend on their energy and raw materials from Russia. For Poetin it is his revenge on the EU for the boycot after the crash of FLIGHT MH17 in Ukraine. He tends to go to the bone. The world must feel who's the master. Third the attitude of the governments, quarreling as kids and punishing their people by rises of all kind of taxes or misguided savings. This is a risky business.
Referendums can not change that, only a revolution does. Is it worth it??

Dear EQ, I wonder if a referendum would stop this madness. Many people simply do not want or cannot see the connection between their own social state and the number of people from completely different culture. The referendum question would have to be very clear, e.g.

Do you want migration from ME countries or do you want to keep the level of social benefits?

or
Do you want Muslim migrants to keep their customs or do you think the state should set clear requirements, tick the ones listed below:
a.
b.
.....

cheers peace

I heard on the news that in Austria , 12500 refugees stranded on a parking! A raft wit refugees on the Middetariann And they did not wait for the transport they just walked on, going further like lemmings on migration. More and more natives begin to react, in The Netherlands, Germany,Danemark,.. The problem is escalating. The refugee people are hardened as warriors by war. The only thing that can stop them is...violence not the weather!!. But who dares to use it? and will it stop the flood?? I believe most of the refugees try to reach their goal before the winter. Not because the weather but because they fear measurements from European countries during the winter. I doubt there will be ones. The Eastern EU countries transport the flood of refugees to the borders to get rid of the mass. Their payback for the boycot of Germany during the bank crisis?? I still believe this migration is an organised crime by the opponents of Europe's richness and freedom.
The protagonists you can see on the everydays journal.

The cold river crossing was between Croatia and Slovenia. Croatia just tratnsports them near the border, their police tell them where the border is and they just go!

Only yesterday more than 12.000 crossed into the SLovenian territory. In terms of our population it is as if 1/2 mil entered Germany in one day!!!! Only about 6500 were then accepted into Austria. This is total chaos and no one wants to stop it.

Let's see what the Syrians in the camps in Syria think of the young men fleeing their country:

But by all means...let's transfer half of the world's population to Europe because the human rights specifically say: everyone is equal, therefore everyone is entitled to live in Europe, Western Europe, hm with the exception of Denmark because they are too stingy there, bad Danes, and now demand that everyone work.

Ooops is half enough? I am sure the do-gooders will disagree - the whole world then!

This is the river crossing you mentioned. It is a thermal image/video on what happened. The part where they get off the train is unfortunately not included.

The video shows a mass of migrants ushered by the Croatian policemen towards the border with Slovenia. When the police left them alone some got lost and ended up in that cold river. The video is scary, someone mentioned ants?

Today I saw on the TV news that all the stakeholders in the refugee crisis did have a conference in Vienna, Austria and it was told they had made progress. They will come together again in two weeks. Question is, what do they mean with progress? The sticking point remains the function of the President Assad Bashir. A dictator that should be convicted for war cruelties and crimes against humanity. How are they going to solve that problem? Other news was that in Moscow 1/5 persons is a muslim!! And About 2000 already left Russia for a trip to Syria. Poetin and friends fear that it can lead to rebellion among Russia's Muslim population.
Therefore they too want the Syrian problem solved.
Another news was the stream refugees from Africa does not become lesser despite the worser weather conditions. But efforts to stop the transferfixers are coordinated. It all seems useless as everything is to late but we'll wait and see.

The invitation for immigrants was started by the former German minister of Finance as I believe. He was also the brain behind the attitude of Germany during the bankcrisis! He even misleaded Angela. But the prime minister is responsible for the actions her government!!
Closing borders and sending troops is the same thinking as the US did in the past. The results were not satisfactory and the costs expensive.
IS is a international problem. Perhaps after the air crash of the Russian plane Russia will change policy and wants to form an alliance with the Western forces against IS. Only when IS actions were involved!
I notice once the EU leaders have made agreements about the fugitives, all criticisms and reactions takes off. But in the meantime the flow of refugees does NOT DECREASE!!! Germany now should already have received 800.000 refugees and Greece 1,6 million refugees (??).
Now these countries are not going to keep them all!! After a selection - of their favorists - they will disperse the "ballast" people over the remaining EU countries. This is the strategy of Germany!!
Those of Sweden is the same, selecting the required manpower from the group and then let the rest suffer in the arctic forests!!
The migration is a strategic move by IS, setting up an organised war area, together with dictator Assad to induce a mass migration to Europe in order to destabilise it. The most amazing is that THEY WILL SUCCEED!!! The Revenge of Allah will be fulfilled! (cynism)

EQ,,
I think organizing a REFERENDUM is too late now,, of course the result would be a NO to migrants,, but they couldn't be implemented anymore as they are already occupying grounds, but for a general demostrations,,,i think if i remember right of what i had read,, in MAY 1968 there was a massive demonstrations or even we call it a revolution wherein moroccos were thrown out to the seine river by the angry/revolted student demontrators,, i think if the students starts organizing such movement,, that could be impressive but then very hard to control. We know how it is in France when it comes to pulic power. i think that could be possible, but a risky movement.
