Love would be impossible, depending on your definition, on a first date - but chemistry............of course!
However, just because you feel attracted doesn't mean you have to immediately rip off all your clothes and do naughty things on the bar table - does it?

Well a kiss is merely a kiss... to some it means so much and to others it means so little.
shianne: Do you always go to kiss on a first date with new persons
if there's chemistry, and he tries to kiss, then its fine by me! by i will not approach a guy on a first date.
lately had 3 dates with a guy and he never tried to kiss... never happened to me before, must be honest... but who knows? after the 3rd date, and hundreds of sms that he feels so good when he's with me, he decided that it is better if he remains single!!
btw... i met the guy from CS... no pic in profile, but he was gorgeous!

And based on all my experiences I'd have to say that to me words are just words. It means nothing to me that a guy tells me he likes me and doesn't have any actions to back it up. Being shy is one thing but stringing and prospective dates is another.

rusty_knight: No point - you ladies make up the rules as you go along!
well, that's our prerogative, don't you think.......anyway you can't really kiss someone who doesn't kiss you back, can you? So whether it's a first date or not it all depends on whether the desire to kiss is mutual.
imagine.... he's nice, and you wouldn't mind kissing him, but he turns you down...how would you feel??...
..what's the big deal??.. give him a cheek kiss,....no need to crush the guy....he probably paid for your meal, and tried to keep you entertained all evening...he knows there won't be any second date...it's in your eyes...you don't even have to tell him...at that point of the evening it's about damage control.....let him off gently, poor sod..
fancyface2: only if he is nice, and if i want to go on a second date.

Quite right...Trouble is if you let him off too gently, the poor sod in question might not realise he's being ditched. Especially if the message in your eyes is behind sunglasses or something.
...you should know by now to take your glasses off when you kiss him goodbye...
