The Bali trip was great. Had small issues but I could solve them right away. I stayed in G U L, near Kemari supermarket. It was really a small hotel and very quiet.
Noted for the little village in the slope of Mount Batukaru. Is it near the twin lakes?
I am back to my town, unfortunately. Dreaming on my next vacation
Yep, lots of stray cats in the cat sanctuary near Parliament building in Ottawa. If you are a cat person, you will be in heaven. The cats are well fed too.
I love the wild squirrels there more and they are sharing the cat food I also see a wild groundhog which make my day
Yeppers, cats are good little pets! I've had a few in my time.
Be careful when you say "Yep" and just keep walking. There are too many loonies who would take that personally and may do something harmful.
What I say is that I tithe in my church and they are welcome to go find food and donations there. I give them the address because most of these "beggars" are in it just for the cash. And I know that for a fact because I worked at a homeless shelter and many of them spoke about the money they made. Some up to $100+ for the day. {/quote]
Ed, I don't like cats actually, but I feel bad for the abandoned ones. Thankfully, there are some people who are taking care the stray cats.
I also feel bad with real homeless people who cannot afford their food but not for any lazy person who dresses well, and they do look a very well fed person. So whenever I pass a person who asks for food, I always give him/her my sandwich which I always have with me.
I took greyhound from Vancouver to Whistler in 2009 and it was okay as the bus was clean. But last Thursday, April 26, it was really not an experience I wanted to repeat ... ever
Fortunately, there wasn't any scary looking person in the bus.
I might need to find another place for my short holiday as Bali is no more a second home to me. I usually go to Bali in every season and always have a good time, until the last visit.
Yes, that's what exactly what happened to me too. So I was not the only one who is missing her old buddy. Unfortunately people do change. Some are for better and the rest are...
Understand your point of view. The caring of others meant not only for my taxi driver but also other drivers and passengers who were around when it happened. There were lots of other cars when it happened. So if everyone cares, they would stand out not as a person but 40 persons. 2 robbers against 40 persons ... who would win?
Also read an article about people have become more afraid of criminal nowadays. It's so true
I know it's not any people's job to assist someone who is in distress. But actually it's our culture here to help someone else. It's really sad to see that our culture has been less and less nowadays. We become individual.
It's a modern world, indeed. But it should not make people "in grey area" in doing right or wrong. I guess those who are lazy and are not keen in hard working, choose the easy way to get easy money.
Hey, I don't mind going to any friends' wedding parties, but not for my family's. Will put note about getting sick when there is a family's wedding party. Good idea
Thanks for the wishes, will send you the invitation when it happens
You are lucky indeed for far away neighbor. The police phone line was engaged all the times after 10 pm. Some of my neighbors have tried before when the similar event happened
Bali Trip
True about Sanur is nicer. Thanks for the photo
