RE: So how does this online dating thingy work?

Parti, ....c'mon man... Is about meeting the right woman.. I already know how to make a great sauce. I have an Italian side that just isn't very visible..:)

RE: So how does this online dating thingy work?

Internet dating requires a great deal of patience. Hang in there, if you want it to work, Scrofa. But actually, I think shopping is still the best way to meet people: "Hi, I'm having a hard time making a good tomato sauce. Could you offer me any suggestions?" You wouldn't believe how long you can stand around discussing a tomato with someone..:) And don't be surprised, if you get invited to dinner...

RE: So how does this online dating thingy work?

Good one, Parti...:)

RE: So how does this online dating thingy work?

Honestly, I think we all at some point start to tire to easily. The question is, why? What are we really looking for? Are we using this form of contact to try on people like we try on socks or is this form of dating (for some) starting to replace the traditional means, because we can in some way still remain anonymous and free?

RE: senior single lady

Wow Virgo... That was a bit harsh, don't you think?

RE: Friend or Foe?

There's no guaranty with anything and as I'm sure you already know and have heard, the fleas come with the dog. But Barebum made a good suggestion: Just ask him to Skype with you.

RE: Help

Good Work! But I just read your "What I'm looking for".. That's one hell of a long list. Are you sure all of that can be found in one guy?!?:-)...

RE: Help

No problem. Helping each other is something I think that most of the people here take seriously and love doing. Wait until I write my blog about dating on the net. I'm really going to need a lot of help:)

RE: Advice on reply or no reply..... Guys please!!

Though it's a blow to the ego, rejection is a part of life. I've rejected others and others have rejected me. Most people understand that and accept that life goes on. Do a "thanks, but no thanks", if you feel like - If not, leave it.

But having said that, sometimes we should take it slow with rejection. I've heard many cases of people meeting someone who they never thought they would be interested in, but end up falling madly in love with them.

Did I just confuse things a bit?!:)?

RE: Help

The pics are fine and the profile is honest, but some of the folks here might be right about the pics of your kids. Not considering the undesirables, maybe your kids might feel a little uncomfortable, if someone they know happens to stumble onto the site and see them displayed. Kids can sometimes be cruel.

RE: i hate

Doesn't seem like it now, but believe me, things will get better, if you really want them to.

RE: today

A BIG TIME HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ME! TAKE CARE!wine beer banana cheering

RE: Gray Area

This place is the place where many find themselves, when one has forgotten the meaning of the journey. So, you're not alone. But I must tell you, in your beautifully expressed words lies the answer... ...And no dream is impossible.

RE: Early Retirement Program

Funny!!!!!

RE: St Valentine can kiss my a.s.s.

Well, at least you made it to Valentines Day. I got the "let's be friends" thing the day before and haven't heard from her since.

And I hate it when someone writes "There are more fish in the sea"! Really?!? What good is that, when there are maybe about two that interest you and they would rather swim someone else? You know, I was always thinking about joining a monastery... But who am I kidding; hanging around a bunch of guys, praying all day... Nope. Not for me.

Hope you don't mind me joining your pity party. Hey, and I'm not trying to be mean. A little self-pity never hurt. Take your time, bud. But don't party too long... Out. handshake

RE: what are you saying,,,,,,

Your words are true. Think most know this, but find it hard to apply to day to day... The circumstances of our lives (of course born out of our decisions) seem much larger than we can handle. Disappointment and frustration are cripplers, but these too are created and entertained by us. In essence, we stand in the way of ourselves. Who else could be a greater foe? Hence, words of despair. Action, like the author states, is the only answer. So, are there any ladies who buy power drills?

RE: STOP THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I think Salley's last sentence could save more marriages than counseling ever will. Salley, please make a blog elaborating on "the ability to give good head". Nothing more intelligent ever written...:-)

RE: Spring Festival is coming!

I wish you BIG FUN, "HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR", and a fantastic celebration. Will you invite me to visit you next year? I would love to do some new year partying Chinese style!!:-) Hey, c'mon. I left a comment..:-) banana cheers

RE: WHY MEN DON'T CRY?

Sweetie, it doesn't happen often, but I've boo-hooed big time a few times in my life. But of course, my tears were manly..:-)

Code Word: TRAVEL - A woman's favorite activity?

Itravel, what's with you and Scuba?!? She dealt a crippling blow to my "kahoonas" (as she put it... ize callz them ballz.:-)), refuses to include me in her travel plans and now you show up with a baseball bat!!

I'm down, already!!!! But..... I'm not out!:-) Because deep in my heart, I know embedded in the code words "I love to travel" there are women out there searchin for me gold. Hardy harr?!? Ok. maybe not my gold. I don't have any.

And Itravel, it's obvious, if you did pay for the whole trip, you took the wrong guy!! I'm really disappointed. Why didn't you ask me? I would have paid for my half. I'm not a gold digger either.:-)

RE: Two Suns? Twin Stars Could Be Visible From Earth B

....no night?!?.. Greatfrustrated I sleep bad enough as it is...

All jokes aside, it's truly fascinating stuff. But I wonder what the perspective is from a wider angle. I mean, what would this look like, if we could view this phenomena the way we view ants. Makes any sense to anyone?

Code Word: TRAVEL - A woman's favorite activity?

Ethos, my apologies. Need to expand music listening horizons:-)

And luckylover it sounds as though your luck hasn't been so good. Or am i misinterpreting your statement. No judgement here. I'm not exactly batting a 1000.

But I had one good experience with someone I actually met in person. She stayed with me for a few days and we did a little sightseeing. Nothing deeply romantic evolved. But it was fun. She was genuine. And yes, she liked to "travel" too, but her job pays for it..:-)

RE: EXTRA TERRESTRIAL`S

I'm with justmyself. They couldn't get the words out of their mouths fast enough. I wonder if the love of my life is out there on some distant planet, because she sure as hell doesn't seem to be on earth..:-)

RE: How Far?

CtheWorld2gether, your chances could worse, if you become lunch for that tiger...

Code Word: TRAVEL - A woman's favorite activity?

that was funny....:-)

RE: guys who can't fully commit
