RE: Learning a new language (Dutch)

braking your tongue is just the first problem....wait till you pronounce a word and you find a knot in it after, hehe

The only way to learn a language is to read it, listen to it , and most of all, speak without being afraid making mistakes

RE: Being selfish

If you don't take care of yourself, then how can one take properly take care of others? Its all a matter of point of view..from what angle you look at things.

RE: Ever notice......

@Red~

"That the ones you want and desire....usually end up being just the opposite of the ones you actually need in your life that suit you best?"

That's a cliche statement, but cliches often proofed to hold a core of truth.

@Prima ~ 9 out of 10?....I suppose there must be loads of lawyers there.

RE: sports i will never understand

"You will cease playing American "football." There is only one kind of proper football; you call it "soccer". Those of you brave enough will, in time, will be allowed to play rugby (which has some similarities to American "football", but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour like a bunch of nancies)."

(extract of J. Cleese - Letter to America)

RE: The Word BLOG

Kasih - I kinda agree with you on the sarcasm.

And where would British humor be without its dry sarcasm??

RE: Wow

Firas ~ I do have a question for you that isn't related to this blog in particular. You often consider the argumentation of point of views that don't meet yours as false. But where do you find the argumentation of your own opinion? The sources I mean. Are they based on historical facts that can be crossed verified? And by who? What makes those sources so objective?

Personally I think people often wrongly have an opinion and present is as the one and only truth, there where in fact it is nothing more as a point of view.

Between black and white there are a lot of color melanges.

RE: The Word BLOG

Simmo ~ maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think there are many blogs that don't have a certain degree of sarcasm in it. Also , it really depends on the context and the way it is interpreted by the reader.
