Congress has much to do in regards to the economy. They are a legislating body that enact and pass laws of all kinds and many of those laws are economically based...please take a college course in geopolitics as well as survey of macroeconomics..you can really use it!!!

Im a republican but have voted once for a democrat. I do favor republican candidates. I believe economic prosperity (like in the 1990's with the republican controlled congress at the time)..is brought on by conservative spending policies...NOT TAX AND SPEND policies that the democrats like to do. Many people give Clinton credit for the 1990's prosperity...but the real credit is due to the conservative policies of the republican controlled congress throughout the 1990's.

But of course ask the 70% of people who agree with me that this is the democrats mess. Even if it was the Republicans mess...(which it isnt)...after four years of Obama and Obamacrats the economy is worse off than ever before. Liberal "tax and spend" policies only down a downward economy. Maybe now with the Republican resurgency underway..conservative spending and common sense approaches can help this awful economy. The republicans controlled the entire congress throughout the 1990's and conservative policies gave us a historic surplus.. Please get your facts straight...or better yet..take a course on American Government..you can use it.!! LOL...

All in all..history will prove George W.
