When you made the comment about bible study and friends all joining in I remembered when I lived in California I used to attend a bible study from a Filipino Christian Church.
The study was always followed by a feast of food with the most delicious Filipino food. And the fellowship included lot's of fun and gabbing. I really miss that church!!
I have always hated the RC church for its stand on many subjects that they use to control their followers. People just need to understand that the choice is theirs and to ignore these manipulators!
I came back to your blog to see if there was a reply. I then noticed that you are from Broken Arrow. I was in professional baseball for 20 years with the Los Angeles Dodgers and 2 very good friends I once knew are from Broken Arrow.
One was named Jim Brewer and he has passed on. And Bill Russel who is still with us. They were quite good ball players and were with the organization for years winning a couple of World Series along the way.
I am from a small town in Colorado called Ordway! People there are the same as in your town. If one doesn't look like them in any manner or speak like them they act as if your the weird one.

That's the way I see it. My personal story with my kids goes way back and had to do with a meddling "ex" that wouldn't let me be with them during my visits with them. So I'm satisfied "txting"!! Who knows what will be next. As always, glad to see you on my blog!

I am honored by your appearance on my blog! You are absolutely correct. Hispanics love their (in Mexico they are called "pepitas) pepitas. They roast just about any seed and enjoy the "battle" of "trying to stop" but can't. Mexicans roast pumpkin and Pinon (I don't know how to insert the "cosita" above the N).
BTW, I use the term "pigs" as a silly joke. Part of our duties is to clean the restaurants too. We find all kinds of food under the tables!! It's so funny "discovering" this stuff dropped. It used to embarrass me when I dropped stuff. I see it's pretty common

Reading the bible is very confusing. But if you are serious about learning what things mean you will need a "Study Bible". A Theologist, actually a group of them, explain God's word and do it very clearly. There is also a book titled, "Hard Sayings of the Bible" which thoroughly explain the words and the Word. Your friend could have a better understanding why God and Jesus Christ say the things they do if they would read a study bible.
We need to understand that mankind has not changed since Adam and Eve. There are those that believe and those that don't. Some of these unbelievers may also be evil and crooked. The bible has history of these same kinds of people that exist today.
We also need to understand that God and Jesus Christ have the capability to get angry and they do so with reason. Hurting others is not a right and will be dealt with severely by God Almighty. So God is not ignoring the bad things of the world. God allows you until your deathbed to repent and that's why it appears that God does nothing.
We have to understand that God does not like sin but he loves the sinner because He created the man whether he sins or not. But, again, the sinning man is in deep deep trouble if he doesn't repent. We cannot "wish" punishment on other's because punishment is God's!!!
