I've told this story many times but it's always timely.
My handsome son was a shy and timid person while growing up. He had never really had a girl friend especially during the "crisis time" you speak of.
I, on the other hand, was not so good looking but I had many pretty and beautiful girl friends. He knew this and he would ask me for advice on what to do.
I told him that, yes, I did date many good looking women but I always ended breaking up with them and I had gone through a terrible divorce with his mother. As I grew older I dated less and became more selective. And this is what I cane up with.
NOW READ THIS CAREFULLY! The secret is to find someone where you are equally yoked with. He had a Masters Degree find some who had at least a Bachelors Degree. He was quiet and simple find some one with the same personality. And on and on and on....someone equally yoked!!!
He was 37 when he married. And he married the nicest young woman one could find. They traveled, they were family oriented with both sides of the family. And so on and so on and so on.....they were equally yoked.
I now have a beautiful Grandson that looks like his Dad. Once my son apologized for making me wait til they had children. I replied, "Nonsense. You take care of your wife. You don't owe me anything"!!
NF! Remember these 2 words: EQUALLY YOKED!! No matter how long it takes!
The last time I Googled this subject it was a virtual tie in the few surveys i bothered to read! That's right 50% to 50%! That was about a year ago. It may have changed. But probably not!
Does that mean the business venture you were on didn't work out? Or did you find some babe and she left your for another guy. Or what??? Give us the details!!!
Just kidding. Good to see you back and many many have left. It's all "kinda" new but the people are nice.
Insofar as job opportunities I think that is passe now in many cases. The computer age emboldened the meek and the geeks and the nerds. At my job there are all of these and more.
It's like Christianity. I don't care if they take God out of city plaques, prayers out of school, Jesus Christ picture down, the Holy Spirit ignored the only thing I have to say, "In my house I will serve the Lord"!!!! Amen and Amen!
What does that have to do with cursive writing? Same thing. It's a style I will always use and I don't care what other do. In my house I will employ cursive writing!!!
A single Mom won $500 million here. I haven't heard anymore. Then some guy won many millions, $90 mil comes to mind, and he is also deceased but became broke before he passed away.
As for me? I certainly would. I would tithe and help my kids and G-kids! And do charitable things like scholarships for needy students!
