Rumors say that Bill Gates is bored about Earth that he wants to buy another planet and build his empire there.... Earth is no longer BIG enough for him.... Lol
Full of wise thoughts here. You definitely have immense strength & willpower to have survived that.
I love this quote from Hermann Hesse about the stages of life. His poem always seems to resonate with me ....
"As every flower fades and as all youth Departs, so life at every stage, So every virtue, so our grasp of truth, Blooms in its day and may not last forever. Since life may summon us at every age Be ready, heart, for parting, new endeavor, Be ready bravely and without remorse To find new light that old ties cannot give. In all beginnings dwells a magic force For guarding us and helping us to live."
When someone you love is close to death, what would be the most appropriate words to say? To hold on and keep hanging on, we are there for you? Or Not to worry about your family, we'll take very good care of them... ?
Another interesting write about life ;) I enjoyed reading your blogs
In my mind, 'Common Sense' varies according to the person's cultural background and the beliefs being imposed on. I've often been misunderstood as having NO COMMON SENSE at all in Japan. I wasn't born or brought up here in the first place. I've come to know that Common Sense in Japan is NOT Common Sense outside Japan.
I've noticed that in the US, children were brought up to have individuality, confidence in themselves, using words to express themselves etc. In Japan, children were brought up to emphasize on teamwork, prioritize on relationship, peace & harmony with each other is of utmost importance, loyalty & long-term commitment to ONE company etc.
It may be a Common Sense in the US to fire anyone who is incompetent and unable to produce results. In Japan, this viewpoint is very different due to the culture of lifetime employment policy. (note: globalization may be changing this traditional mindset in the future... )
So... what is Common Sense...exactly?
For me, it would be 'Wisdom' and not 'Common Sense' that Turns Me ON! Lol I feel that I can move forward with a Wise Man as I feel that I can embrace his other flaws
I concur with your concept of the value of a smile .... it's so wonderful that I wrote a HAIKU about A SMILE.... A smile may be different things in different situation...
Hi leahkathrine, there was a song that I hold dear to my soul and that I used to collaborate with a wonderful poet. Here's the link to our collaboration and the music video link is under the poetry which I love very much ;)
I think it depends on how you react to the scarred emotions. When you take past wounds into the next relationship, then in reality you haven't really healed in time. Many people grip onto their pasts mistakes and remain unforgiving. Those are harsh emotions to cling on to.
It's only a drug if you are allowing yourself to live in the past...
Those people who can really say 'time heals', I think it's because they found a way to live past their wounds or they learned to accept what happened.
oh well, why don't you email her the photo of the ghost in Exorcist? Tell her you live in the city called Silent Hill...it's pretty easy to get there.... blah blah blah.. and that you often dream of her and your souls somehow resonate with each other...
Didn't you state yourself as the creative one? Well, create your own story
LOL.... funny blog.... How can I ask YOU out? aaahhh but you are million miles away! I'd be glad to have a coffee or tea with you and enjoy a light conversation about 'What makes you happy?' and sharing some insights on those answers...
So what does it take to ask YOU out?
I think the answers is different to everyone. Usually it takes more observation than mere attractive appearances. Before you ask the man or woman out, observe what he/she likes, body languages usually tell you many things about a person before you hear the language style of the person.
It's really all about psychology.... essential in social life AND in business situations
