Clearly Mr. Emerson, being the "civil antagonist" he was so famous for, would never accept a nomination. And, if he did, he would probably talk us to death. However, it would be refreshing to hear something from our president that actually makes sense. Our current POTUS tells us wild stories, filled with fairy tales...and incredibly the same story changes each time he tells it!
Since you are an American, I must ask...was that a "bait" response? Hmmmm...guess it worked huh?
Nice to hear from a fellow countryman. Take care and thanks for reading my blog!
First off, thank you for reading my blog. I fully expected that many would not find the subject of any interest or value. But, I mostly posted it as a means of putting thoughts together. I've been an Emerson fan since childhood and have planted many of his famous quotes in my heart...not to profess them to others, but to own them for myself.
Your suggestion that Thoreau had great influence on Emerson is a common opinion of those who knew of the interaction and friendship of the two. However, Thoreau being a much younger man, found Emerson more a mentor of like-mindedness. Both advocated "civil disobedience" based on their personal beliefs. And, Thoreau also subscribed to Transcendental thinking. I'm pretty certain the two men influenced each other since we can't visit another's life without bringing something into it. However, there was actually a time when Thoreau actually felt he had garnered all the education Emerson could offer him and branched out to other similar writers.
The quotes of BOTH men (and many like them of their time), are worthy of committing to memory. For me, they further assert and validate what my own personal goals to strive for.
Thanks again for reading the blog. I am truly happy to know I have found others who have found value in men such as these as we steer our sails toward that which we hold dear and true.
The reality is, YOUR WAR IS NOT OUR WAR! We have come to your country's aid. Then you have the audacity to complian how much your country has lost from the war? How about America just stops all aid to Pakistan and brings our boys home. Up until we turn our backs on your country, you have absolutely no right to be battle crying, 'DEATH TO AMERICA' all the time.
You're an ungrateful country and don't deserve our help.
Remember that you are NEVER alone. If you believe in a Creator, that's the time to tell him everything you are feeling.
It always helps to get outside yourself and do something..anything...for someone else to bring them joy. It will make you happy too. There's no greater gift you can give someone else, than the gift of themselves. Make someone feel good about who they are through your acknowledgement of their value.
I so agree with your blog! The problem is, there is not enough love in the world. We seem to hold it back, not realizing that it propagates itself when it is planted. Love bears fruit!
I believe we cannot have true love without "acceptance" of one another. Not always agreeing with one another's differences, we must learn to accept them in tolerance and BECAUSE of love.
One of my favorite self-proclaimed quotes is, "I'm always gonna be on your team...even when your team is losing."
Someone who truly love another, seeks to help them achieve their hopes and aspirations. So often you will see a selfishly motivated partner concern themselves ONLY with how everything effects them. To me, having a happy lover, fulfills those needs to give that is constant when I love someone.
Finally, knowing that my values and priorities are deeply respected because I am "liked and admired" for the person I am, keeps me secure in BEING loved in return.
I am so very happy to hear you have found that love. You are a dear and kind man, who I have come to consider a friend. To know you are at such a wonderful place in your life brings me great joy!
Just never forget the share the beauty of nature together...and, to notice the occasional animal-like formation you see in the clouds. It will be because you took the time to look up!
Yuwake niye mitawa kola! (Bless you my friend in Lakota)
Wow Cyn...geez thanks for your comment! Yes, I suppose people do post without sources revealed. I, however, did NOT!
What baffles me, is why people post only with the intent of only putting someone else DOWN in some way. Now you wouldn't have been meaning to do that...would you?
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! I simply HAVE to go view some of your blogs and posts. Now I'm curious to see what else you have to contribute!

Ah! The old "God shopping" routine huh? Well, fortunately, there is a God who wants you to get the "best deal." I'm glad you started with Jesus. I have found also, that when you call Him, there are no buttons to push or menu options. He, personally, talks to every one who calls.
Just remember, the prayer request you have given, has been given throughout history, and the answer is complicated. You may have to do a little more research on this particular "product" before you determine which one to choose.
So, MY prayer is that you don't make your decision based on immediate returns from your investment. But, rather that you ask to get a free 30-day trial period.
I'd say, "She looks familiar. Oh yea, isn't that the same cross-dresser my brother was seeing for a while?"
You know what? Sometimes a look and no words, just before you exist the room, is more powerful than anything! Of course, that's only if he knows you caught him and the subject is at hand!
I'm still wondering where you guys saw that she was 20, OR that he drives a rolls royce!! I viewed his profile and it said nothing like that. I also so no rolls in any pictures.
It is true that woman want a better life in America and often marry as a mail order bride. I'm glad your situation is different and involves you loving each other!
Asian ladies often look much younger than their age. It's just a statement of fact.
So, tell us caspath..how old is your bride-to-be anyway?
Do you drive a rolls,,and are you wealthy? Nothing wrong with that, and in this case, it may have all helped things come together. NOT SAYING this is why she's coming here, but you can offer her so much better than she would ever have in Vietnam!!
CONGRATULATIONS CASPATH, and I sincerely wish for you true happiness and unending love!!
Perhaps your mom's advice about counting to 10 gives you a chance to assess another's INTENT. It's always about whether a person INTENDED to hurt you...or did it on purpose. Since we cannot determine intent on the internet, it's best just to let things slide.
In real life, it's easier because we know our loved-ones wouldn't ever hurt us intentionally. So, we rely on our trust in that fact and give the benefit of the doubt.
I think many people are sensitive Checker, so you're not alone in feeling that way. This is where "consider the source" really comes in. Literally....
Hey long-termers, I realize there are a LOT of people I don't know yet. I'm a newbie myself. It's just nice for me to meet new people...even if they're just new to me!
I love it when lurkers come outta their corners and post. It's so nice to hear from you.
