It makes no difference as to which christian religion you practice, it all stems from the catholic BS, you know, the Romans that crucified your beloved jesus then took over and reinvented the religion that got him killed and continue to program your life with it. What a bunch of hypocrites.
As for your whole life experience, you are in fact living someone else's dream if you follow their religion and not using your brain to create your own dream. Wake up and smell the roses...
The greatest flaw with being a creationist is that you think you all are the one and only being that this Earth has carried, all stemming from Adam & Eve a mere few thousand years ago.
In fact, this Earth has been populated and repopulated many times before by other intelligent beings. Each has been destroyed either by themselves or through natural disasters. The Vatican has absolute proof but it's kept under wraps and anything that it can't contain gets destroyed or placed into history set at a much more recent time period in order to keep the status quo (and its control over the people with its perpetual BS).
As for you, Hooha (a very apt name) maybe you could go back and read what I wrote for Hpylady, and keep reading until you actually understand what I've written.
Apart from one very important fact. You were indoctrinated into your belief by person/s, book and/or church following the regurgitated BS. You did not invent the idea of JC and all on your own.
I, on the other hand refused to submit to the BS and used my own brain to think things through. Nobody else was involved in my thought process or understanding. It’s only been in the last few years with the help of technology that I have found others that have same or similar understanding.
The people ARE the authority because once you have instilled the BS into their minds, they then accept it as fact and perpetuate the BS to everyone else. The more people believe the BS to be fact, the more it becomes authority.
The likes of Chris Angel are constantly proving to us that we are living in an illusion. He is one that has not only figured it out but found a way to play with it. However, people are hard to convince.
I've had an experience a few years ago that has convinced me once and for all that I am living in an illusion.
"However...if he believes that he was on another dimension sort to speak...and it was a beneficial/positive experience...that would in itself allay the fears of death we all face..."
I believe that people are afraid of dying mostly due to the "hell, fire & brimstone" attitude of the religious dogma that they have been subjected to, coupled with some of the not so good things that they may have done and the fear of judgement in the here-after.
I've watched a few of these clips over the years but this one seems to be closest to the truth yet.
The takeaway is that the life that we are all living appears to be an illusion. We are here to try to better ourselves by doing better for others. The real life is where you go to when you have completed your course here.
As for HooHa, You obviously don't understand mass hypnosis very well.
Its interesting when people say that god was always there but in the same voice explain that god made the universe. Just WHAT was god, a god of before the universe was created? Why was there any reason for a god to exist at all when there was nothing to exist for?
I kind of find that analogy somewhat the same as what came first... the chicken or the egg.
Trying to convince me that god was around before the universe just doesn't cut it. That type of statement is for simple, unenquiring minds and is not a logical answer by any stretch of the imagination.
Convince me with a better answer and not some crap that was taught to a five-year-old in scripture class.
I didn't allow people to make those comments to each other, they just chose to do so on their own free will and unless I see blood and broken bones, I'm not getting involved...
“Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money!” ? George Carlin
The pope and an atheist are having an argument about religion; After a few hours the pope turns to the atheist and says "You are like a man who is blindfolded, in a dark room who is looking for a black cat that isn't there." "Well" replies the atheist "we are not so dissimilar then. As you are also like a man who is blindfolded, in a dark room who is looking for a black cat that isn't there but the only difference is you say you have found it."
Yes they are just a bunch of dirty rotten scoundrels and don't get me started on the high court... Grrrrrr I remember a certain Tasmanian MP getting kicked out because she held two passports, 1 Australian and 1 British. The high court ruled against her over this issue. FFS is that not a British flag at the top left-hand corner of our Australian flag... Our own flag flies for two countries. What a bunch of disconnected, geriatric old farts this panel of fudges (and yes, I did not spell that incorrectly) on the high court are. Grrrrrr... Just to mention one incident...
Too right, like I said we need more of her in this world...
@ Grandsiozzie...
...
@ Merlot22...
0.2% of GDP is still enough to buy slingshots.... Maybe ya think that her argument is a little OTT but she's got the right kind of stuff that more politicians should have...
