@catfoot; "But yes, I agree, we cannot even accurately predict the path of a tropical storm." You mean Hurricane Dorian didn't hit Alabama as the weatherman in the WH predicted?
Very impressive, I figured it must have taken you days to assemble all that data, then I wanted to find some corroborating data and wadda ya know, I found This;
"The American Spectator Foundation educates the public on new ideas, concepts, and policies that favor traditional American values, such as economic freedom, individual liberty, self-sufficiency, and limited government. To this end, the Foundation also trains and cultivates young writers for careers in journalism and serves as an outlet for a host of both young and established conservative writers and thinkers."
This is one Democrat who sees through you like a pane of glass.
What was great about it was it was sort of informal and small so you could get pretty close to the performers, like 15-25 feet. I saw David Bromberg there and John Prine.
BTW, I saw Buddy Holly at an Alan Freed R&R show at the NY Paramount in 1958. Things were done differently back then. Instead of 1 or 2 groups doing 4-5 numbers, there were 10 groups doing 2 songs ea. I saw Richey Valens do La Bamba and Oh Donna, Thurston Harris do Little Bitty Pretty One, Jackie Wilson do Lonely Teardrops, and Higher and Higher. In fact, something happened when Jackie Wilson came on stage I will never forget as long as I live. The audience was about half & half black and white fairly evenly mixed throughout the theater, When Jackie Wilson was announced, the entire theater audience stood up and all the black kids migrated to the front of the theater and the white kids moved to the rear. Not a word was spoken. It was understood by the white kids that Jackie Wilson was like a hero to the black kids and they wanted to get as close to him as possible. We white kids knew that and willingly surrendered any and all seats we had toward the front. I can't tell you how proud I was to be a part of that. If only governments could learn to cooperate like that there would be no more wars.
Prior to 9-11 I'd made several deliveries to the WTC because the loading dock had a height restriction of 12 feet and my truck was 11'6" (lucky me ). I hated going there. A trucker had to go to the dock entrance and tell the guards you had a delivery, then go find a place on the street to park your truck and wait your turn. You couldn't leave your truck to get a hot dog or cup of coffee because there would be a $100. parking ticket on your truck when you got back. At some point the guard would txt your pager and you could drive under the building to the loading dock and unload your freight onto the dock. My Co had the contract to deliver the freight from the loading dock to offices throughout the 2 towers. We had 6 employees on the job when the towers were hit. Fortunately all of them got out alive. When I heard the WTC was destroyed a part of me was actually glad because it meant I wouldn't have to go to that miserable place again. I'm sure I wasn't the only trucker who felt that way.
IMO the WTC was a very big mistake to put it in that location. That part of Manhattan didn't have the infrastructure (transportation, dining, parking, labor, housing, etc) to support 2 such huge office buildings.
I paid a high price when I attempted to relocate to FL as a 20 year old with a young wife and a baby. For about 6 months we lived with a friend in Pinellas PK while I tried to find a halfway decent job. It was quite a shock to learn that I'd be lucky to get a job pumping gas for 40 hours a week for $40.00 only if I was extremely lucky to even find such a job. The lady at the state employment agency told me that 1500 people a month come to FL with the same idea and 1495 of them wind up going back home. It's no wonder the pay scale was so abysmal down there. I'd left a good job as an auto mechanic making $2.75/hr. with group health ins and 2 weeks paid vacation. Remember this was in 1960. My MIL arranged 2 non-refundable plane ticket for us to return to NY and we stayed with her for a couple a weeks til I found a job ($100/wk) and an apt for $75.00/Month. I remember my wife's grandfather commenting "He must be worth something if someone is willing to pay him a hundred a week ." God, was I really that dumb back then?
Here is the original by the Bulawayo Sweet Rhythms Band from Zimbabwe. I just love the way these people are having so much fun dancing. It seems like there was a shortage of men so the women just danced with each other and boy were they ever great to watch. It was plain to see that these ladies had danced with each other a lot. Notice the change in the horns at about the 1:08 mark.
Mr Obola, where does Kenya get its oil from? What good does the US being the largest producer of crude oil do for Kenya, don't you get your oil from Saudi Arabia? Also, It's my understanding that Muslims are not supposed to drink alcohol or smoke, yet you do, regularly.
If the earth is flat, how do you explain traveling constantly in one direction and winding up right back where you started? Also, can you produce 1 person out of the 7 billion people on earth who has actually been to the edge of the earth? If that isn't enough, what keeps the oceans from not simply pouring over the edge like a waterfall? Here's the picture(s) you claim don't exist.
Many people seem to be unaware that Minneapolis has a very large population from Somalia which accounts for the large number of Muslims at the mall. I don't have any idea why so many Somali's wound up in that geographic location but that's where they seem to have accumulated.
Flies are childs play, I get wasps in my house. They are kind of benign though still they want to be out. Lately I've been training them on how to leave and they seem to be cooperating with me. I don't know if it's always the same wasp or not, so I'm thinking of catching it and marking it with a white dot on its back so I can tell if it's always the same one. I haven't figured out a good way to do that yet.
It was never the intention for any one party to govern this country. Maybe you should enroll in a night school and take up American History and Civics. That might save you the embarrassment of asking stupid questions.
Owned, not owns. No economy can withstand a trade war between the 2 biggest economies on the planet.
Trump could be forgiven for launching a tariff war with China if this tactic hadn't been tried nearly 100 years ago by another pair of misguided Republicans named Smoot and Hawley which lead to The Great Depression. Unfortunately ignorance of history is no excuse, not when you are the President of the United States. One must conclude that all the people who are advising him are every bit as ignorant as he is. Including Larry Kudlow his economic adviser.
The day I almost joined the Boy Scouts
What are you talking about Ken?
