My "Mask" is actually a net that's supposed to be attached to a fan to trap mosquitoes. I don't think a virus would even notice it as it headed toward my nose. I've been getting a lot of messages lately from beautiful women from places like India and sub Saharan Africa who want to come and meet me. The mask was meant to scare them off and it seems to be working.
Might be a good time right now as mosquito season is just about over and the manufacturers are probably cutting staff. People usually don't think about mosquitoes until they are getting stung. See, this is exactly the kind of stuff I'm talking about.
Several years ago yahoo had a message board where you could talk about investing as much as you want. It was a pretty lively place with people talking about their best and worst moves in the market. I used to hang out on there for hours discussing investment ideas. Then yahoo took it down for some reason, I guess it was taking too much of their time & resources to maintain. I kinda miss the banter that went on. Now I feel like I'm living in a cave with no one to chat with.
"Ooby: 5000 Danish kroner, is around $787. I live with a friend - which is the single biggest mistake I have ever made. I have a reliable source of income of $1338 per month, no pets. I don't smoke, throw parties or fighting with mates. I don't really listen to music that loud, but I do like to sing, which I do badly. But once I begin my training to become a truck driver, my income should be bigger.
Jim: No drugs here. At all!
Orzzz: In order to get a car, I need a license, which I don't have."
Phil, I see both positives and negatives in your words.
Positives: You don't smoke. You have no pets. You make decent money. You're not a party animal not a fighter, or into loud music.
Negatives: No car or license. Depending on where you hope to locate a car may be essential to get to work. I would be worried about having to drive you to work everyday, been there, done that. Also, as a former truck driver I will say your chances of getting a job driving a commercial vehicle with a new license and no experience is pretty slim. I'm sure Nam would agree with me.
"TenderBabe•12 hrs ago•Loveland, Colorado USA I love President Trump."
Does it not bother you that Trump, a self proclaimed Billionaire, major real estate developer, landlord, only paid $750.00 income tax last year? In prior years he actually paid NO income tax?
I have no doubt the janitor was in such a rage about kids playing on the roof, that if I fell off the roof it wouldn't have bothered him one bit. At least not until he had some time in a little cell on Rykers Island to dwell on how his anger caused him to kill a kid. I mean how crazy can it be to club a kid on the leg who's standing on the edge of a 4 story building?
The thing that doesn't make sense to me is that the IRS has his tax returns and given the incredible amount of chatter there is about it I can't believe they haven't scrutinized it many times already. I would be shocked to learn that they don't have the right to examine his tax return whenever and as often as they feel like it.
My 2nd son lives in Louisville and he says he's thinking of moving out of KY because he doesn't think he should have to pay for the bad decisions of a couple of cops. I wonder how they came up with that number?
Like most beginners I made some stupid decisions getting into the Wall St world. I had about $1200. in a savings acct earning about a 1/2 percent annual interest rate and I felt I should be able to do much better than that where I could make the decisions instead of a bunch of suits who didn't even know my name. There was a very well known brokerage firm near where I worked so I decided to go there and open an account. I was assigned to an AE (Acct Exec) named Keven. We had a nice little chat and he handed me a glossy brochure with about 24 companies they were profiling for investors. I can't prove it, but today I believe it was a list of stocks they owned and wanted to get rid of. I went home and studied the co's on the list and found one which fit my observations for the future direction of the economy. I was living in Northern NJ and for years people had been moving away from the urban area of NY & NJ. They were going north to upstate NY, East out to Long Island, South to Florida and West to PA.
There was a co on the brochure located in PA that catered to these people fleeing the city. It was a REIT Real Estate Investment Trust. Of course I had no idea what exactly they did but I felt it would be very clever to invest in a co which was in front of the wave of humanity seeking the country life. Kind of jump over the wave and wait or them to come to me so to speak. So, I went all in. I put my life saving into this Co's stock. I subscribed to the WSJ and every night I would check the closing price of my investment. I even got some graph paper and created a graph of the results with a ruler and pencil. No internet at that time. Well, the line on my graph went from the upper left to the lower right. Not what I was expecting or more accurately, hoping for. By the time my nest egg lost about 75% of its value I couldn't take any more and dumped it. My $1200 was now worth $300.
Livestock farmers don't like Groundhogs because if a cow steps into a hole they dug in a field the cow can break a leg and then it may have to be put down. If you're a hunter and you want to get some target practice off season just ask a farmer if you can shoot some Groundhogs on his fields, he'll most likely say sure go ahead. I have a family of Groundhogs living in my back yard, they like eating broad leaf weeds. They don't bother me and I don't bother them.
Ash, your question made me go back and look, and it seems I made a mistake. Somehow I misplaced the decimal point in my calcs on Haliburton. I in fact Shorted HAL back in 2010 and lost $740.77. Not the $7,407.00 I originally thought. So my loss was due to betting against HAL. Thanks for asking the question. Now I feel like a dummy.
Yet another blog by a bunch of foreigners spouting BS and lies about the American Democratic party. We have so far a guy from Fiji, a woman from Canada, a guy from Ireland, and another one from Mexico. None of them know anything about the United States but they keep flapping their gums about it anyway. I guess they are just doing what they are being told to do.
Doesn't Trump have any advisors that can tell him it's a very bad idea to tell Americans to boycott Goodyear, an iconic American brand used by probably 1/3 of the motoring public? I guess they feel it's a waste of time trying to tell him anything because he thinks he knows better than anybody else and probably wouldn't listen to them anyway.
Goodyear tires are probably the most popular brand of tire in the auto racing community. Even more so than Firestone, because outside of Indy cars nobody runs Firestones. This move by Trump is sure to turn a lot of potential supporters away from him.
I never knew there were Democrats in Eastern Fiji It Looks like in your effort to be clever you just stepped on your little Richard. To quote Judge Judy, "If you tell the truth, you don't have to have a good memory."
Kamala Harris is not black. she is half Jamaican and half Indian. Just like Obama isn't black, he is half black and half white. His mother was white so why does everyone call him black? If I had a black person somewhere in my family tree would I be considered black? I don't think so.
BTW, I think she will be a great VP. My opinion of her went up 2 notches after seeing her on TV. She will turn Trump into Chopped Chicken Liver in any debate they may have, and she'll make Mike Pence look like an angry old man.
Thanks Nam I appreciate that. I think you're a good hard working guy too. I retired from trucking a few years ago, these days I live off SSA and a small pension and whatever I can make off the bond market. I know from my days on the open road copying the mail on 19 most truckers are right wing even though many of them don't seem to like the right lane. While I may be a Democrat, not a Libtard or Libturd, TY, I don't sheepishly follow any party exclusively. For instance I thing Rep Gerald Ford would have made a much better president than Jimmy Carter. Just think, if all we had was one party, we would be living in a Dictatorship.
I'm wondering if anybody has tried my bucket Mosquito trap system. I would love to get your feedback, good or bad. I'm screening my Mosquito buckets (2 of them) alternately every 2 weeks. One is located by my garage and the other is by some trees about 60 feet away. This way I cover the whole yard. I use a gallon Sunny D bottle with the bottom cut off as a scoop to pour the water from one bucket through the screen into the empty bucket, this way you don't have to bust a blood vessel lifting a full 5 gal bucket of water. I probably should have mentioned this sooner. One more thing, it helps to take an old 4" paint brush and wet the screen with water before you pour the water, this way it's less likely to splash.
RE: "Mediocre" photos of NJ the past 2 weeks.
In a word, that #5 Deer pic is AWESOME. What's she saying? If I were to guess it's"You talkina me?"
