Human nature has no difference in nation to nation; but yes, difference comes with situation & circumstances. The pattern of Chinese family you wrote are like Indian families --- exactly same. But the difference happens with western families due to distribution of resources for population density so also scope of earning --- which leads to an economic difference. If china would have only less than 1/3 of its population what it has, then the whole pattern would be like western families. Same would be in India. So, I think it is not the question of any heritage or custom rather than situation. I am not well aware of Chinese families but from your writing it is my assumption for over all Asian countries --- more or less!

Stop taking any pills. By my opinion you should immediately go to a doctor and check your cholesterol level and Thyroid level (TSH). I had same symptoms like you but I have dramatically recovered after check up and by maintaining a scheduled diet. No good food even will work if you have these problems unsolved. All through the time you must keep a positive attitude.
If your bf had read your prev blog (Jul 11) then the reason should be clear to him that why you gave his user name to your friend. Receiving a mail (even if it is tricky) your bf should apply his brain and should be patient to justify the whole situation, not taking any hasty decision. It’s my point of view, may be he is different.
