Sometimes people just want to be argumentative...notice how some here do not respect others' opinions despite the logic or proofs given...I imagine...the same types that have a problem with apologizing or admitting that you or others have a point...

My mother opted for euthanasia rather than endure suffering...fortunately she made the decision...a plan was in place long before the ravishes of cancer got the best of her...

Palliative care includes adequate pain control...there are lots of options...but when death is inevitable...and life has no quality...euthanasia is an appropriate option...planning ahead is key but when faced with a person who is already incapacitated without a medical decision plan in place or dealing with a child...hard to make that decision...

I have already made a plan regarding being hospitalized...DNR...the choice has been made...

It would be best to adhere to practices that helps people restore their health...so plastics should be eliminated...imagine consuming fish with all those plastic particles...

I would rather continue to be mindful of CO2 emissions...and have the experts provide society all information needed including their educated thoughts on the Earth's rotation ( as you mentioned) and other variables that may explain such horrendous weather such as flooding...melting of the glacial ice caps...polar bears struggling to survive...etc.

If we demand corporations to stop practices of polluting for profit...and call for appropriate/humane treatment regarding animal husbandry...farming practices...the list goes on...perhaps we can effect change for a better outcome...

Interesting, a documentary I watched about a couple going into the farming business employing old ways of preventing topsoil erosion and creating a system to contain rain water...to irrigate their crops when needed...including using animals/birds/bugs to decrease the spoilage of their fruit trees...manure instead of chemical fertilizers or pesticides...diversifying crops and rotating plants to keep soil healthy etc. It is a cost effective, environmentally friendly solution...less waste too...

In the documentary it turned out that a flash flood removed the top soil of many industrialized farms in the area...but not the couple's farm because they spent time investing in the infrastructure of the farm including understanding the daily operations of maintaining a cost effective environmentally friendly business...

I do not believe in the death penalty...it seems to me that jurors can be wrong and you cannot undo death...the good news is that many ( death row inmates) remain on the row for years...providing time for science to evolve that could exonerate the innocent...or the opposite...

I doubt that believing in reincarnation would set you apart from other believers in faith...but lawyers do make decisions based on what is good for their client...

If you look at the area in California...and the fault line...San Andreas...it appears that trailer courts exist there...so one could question that the people who do not have tons of money...have a lack of choice...including the homeless...

All we can do is prepare for the inevitable...for those without the resources...I hope they can make it to the community centres to receive adequate survival supplies...

In Vancouver...you need to prepare to live without help for approx. 72 hours...that is where stocking the pantry comes in handy...some are unable to do so...

Fortunately, I do not have to worry about tsunamis after an earthquake...far enough away that it is unlikely to cause me concern if I survive the earthquake...I also have a choice where I live and being in Vancouver...I also know that the city is prepared for these events...

In saying that...equality does not exist in that regards but one would hope that people will help each other in times of need...
