RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

I absolutely commend one of them.

She should finish up next year with honors for administration so she can be more at the top instead of one following orders or having to fight tooth and nail for some of her patients.

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

One other thing lou, obozocare was never about healthcare. It was never passed as healthcare and the laws and regulations actually hurt our system. That's what it was fed to the people as to get them to buy into it.

It was passed for what it was, a tax bill. A big one.

I can't begin to describe to you what some of my relatives say patients are going with out and at risk of being cut off from because of that bill. Sometimes a couple of them are in tears because of the "laws" and power granted to the companies that provide the "care".

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

lou, all you have to do is look to our congress. All it's done is put a bullseye on his back since day one.

They haven't actually done much for the country. they've been too concerned about pandering every where else but not focused here where they're supposed to be.

Where were they when the travel bans were started? That's what we have for a "governing" body. The president has control of foreign policy and anything he can get congress to actually take up in their proceedings.

That's not where they've been. The house has been focused on getting him out, not the country.

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

We have the 3rd largest population in the world.

We'll have an over haul of preparedness after this for certain. I've never read up on when so much was shut down across the globe for a pandemic.

I know there have been past travel bans and select countries here and there.

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

It didn't help when they started the people to panic which drove them to buying every thing they could.

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

It's a question of how much more of the needful things are outsourced in the U.S. that shouldn't be.

Reading up on supplies, it seems like most of ours have been outsourced for a long time and shipped in to us. That's a big mistake in any country unless it's one of your key exports.

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

Yes lou, because we don't have them to ship. They're not trying to get GM and others to stop shipping for no reason.

RE: 'Trump is killing his own supporters' – even White House insiders know it

Not too likely jim. Those ships have full fledged hospitals and staff. The admiral would have made contact with absolute secure channels in place at the first reasonable sign of real trouble and PROPER port.

That's something addressed at the top levels only.

RE: Small Trial indicates that hydroxyquinone is ineffective against Covid-19

I noted the key word when I was reading about it a while back: "inhibitor"

Maybe some of these shouldn't be held back for "humanitarian" reasons.

RE: Small Trial indicates that hydroxyquinone is ineffective against Covid-19

It's been tried before like many others.

Just a snipet from some back ground of remdesivir, along with hydroxyquinone and one other.:

In late January 2020, in response to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, Gilead began laboratory testing of remdesivir against SARS-CoV-2, stating that remdesivir had been shown to be active against SARS and MERS in animal models of CoV infection. It also provided remdesivir for treatment of a "small number of patients" in collaboration with Chinese medical authorities. Also in late January 2020, remdesivir was administered to the first U.S. patient confirmed to be infected by SARS-CoV-2, in Snohomish County, Washington, for "compassionate use" after he progressed to pneumonia. While no broad conclusions can be made based on the single treatment, the patient's condition improved dramatically the next day, and he was eventually discharged. Also in late January 2020, Chinese medical researchers reported that remdesivir and two other drugs, hydroxychloroquine and favipiravir, seemed to have "fairly good inhibitory effects" on SARS-CoV-2 (after exploratory research that examined 30 drug candidates), after which requests to begin clinical testing were submitted. On 6 February 2020, a clinical trial of remdesivir began in China.

On 17 March 2020, remdesivir was provisionally approved for use for COVID-19 patients in a serious condition in the Czech Republic. While no broad conclusions can be made based on the single treatment, results of remdesivir treatment of an Italian COVID-19 patient in Genoa, a 79-year-old, were described as successful on 18 March 2020. Other patients also received the treatment, the results of which are not known.[verification needed] On that date, the WHO announced the launch of a large four-arm pragmatic clinical trial (SOLIDARITY trial) that includes one group of patients treated with remdesivir.

RE: Small Trial indicates that hydroxyquinone is ineffective against Covid-19

These aren't the only ones being tested.

There are still varying results. Even towards positive still. Not sure what levels of infection Dr. Stephen Smith's patients were; his trials went complete opposite of what your article states. I think he had 20.

A 2nd doctor or I think the first, had good results but he didn't have any serious cases and not sure how many.

Here's another:

There are about a 1/2 dozen and more out right now on trials.

Part of the clinical trial is supposed to be at what stage of infection the patient(s) is. Truth be told, it shouldn't be allowed to advance that far if something helps now.

Keep reading around and hope none this stuff they're trying, has the negative effects they can have on people. I think ALL of them have something bad as well as potential good. Some mild. Remdesivir for pregnant women is unknown concerning it's effects.

RE: Wanna taste of Lucy ?

I don't why, but I half expected a Lucille Ball video...

RE: Covid 19 Answers inside this story.

It's possible the different stages for symptoms of zero up to pneumonia got confused in there some where.

If there are two strains of the new virus, it's not being talked about.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

I got a couple of numbers backwards. The Lancet model has the total projection at about 1.38%

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

Many of those predictions are being questioned already.

One of the latest models drops the total death rate to about 1.83%. this was based on gathered data and studies with other factors not accounted for. It even added that it could be substantially lower. Since numbers change all of the time, we wont know much again until another model is produced. Another report suggested a rate of .66% but didn't match the Lancet report any where.

Some results from new york using plasma from virus survivors and malaria drugs is showing positive results already. "..It's a game changer", is the description given by one doctor using the malaria drug treatments.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

For jim, the opec thing was mentioned because I thought it was mentioned he had reason with gains for the oil industry. Reasons for the deregulations and such.

For raph,
those numbers were the current numbers available at the time. I never said any thing about them set in stone. We won't know the full figures until it's done. Even then, it may not be done.
With current information. It's all still comparable and still maybe better than some of the worst from our past.
Sad when people try to make it sound like we're unique when the odds are higher that we have natural selection processes just like the rest of nature.

So far we can fight every thing better, being a developing and adapting species. There's still that possibility the time is coming where all the politics in the world, won't be able to be twisted and turned to what people want it to be. It really will be an almost ultimate killer of man.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

Cailin, Trump didn't disband any thing.

Some federal agencies were merged and some people resigned. He appointed new people.

The merging cut out some middle people. You would have had the sequence of events for that in the link you deleted too.

RE: What is with guys who are 60 plus and older, they have kids but not sure if they want more kids.

I've always looked at it as another way of saying they don't mind yours.

We all have preferences. What if the woman or guy should find themselves with some one that still has kids?

"Doesn't want's more but will accept yours", is an option. Maybe it's over looked.

Maybe you have point rose. Maybe some are still wanting to reproduce if the woman is capable. Or adopt.

Just some other thoughts maybe.

dunno

RE: The motivating factors inside Trump's head, that finally had him give up on his Easter miracle

That could be a problem Hpy. I'll call H.R. tomorrow. I still have about 1-2 weeks pay coming for unused vacation time. It would goof any benefits if I need them.

As it stands right now, I have no plans on filing if I don't have too. All I might be able to cap out with, is maybe three months or so. Any thing beyond that and I'll be in trouble.

RE: The motivating factors inside Trump's head, that finally had him give up on his Easter miracle

That pneumonia incident is the one my mother likes talking about the most.

Apparently I managed to escape from my crib, which was netted over the top to keep me in. I even made it outside of the hospital because I was going home.

I was in the hospital for about 6-8 weeks I think is what I was told. I only remember bits and pieces myself.

RE: The motivating factors inside Trump's head, that finally had him give up on his Easter miracle

I don't know what hit me this last February. I just know it was the first time in over 20 years I actually bought an over the counter medication to treat the symptoms and allow me some sleep at the same time. I practiced the common sense not to take it work. I lost two days then. Only because it started right on the weekend.

I would like to be starting back to work in another week or so. It appears that may not happen.

RE: Ready to get mooned ?

Normally my work schedule stops me from being able to see things like that.

This year, I might be lucky to stay awake long enough under the current situations. Or still manage to forget about it altogether. That's happened on other rare events where I did have the actual opportunity.

RE: The motivating factors inside Trump's head, that finally had him give up on his Easter miracle

Fauci wanted about 8 weeks from the start. Looks like he'll get it so far. At least that.

RE: The motivating factors inside Trump's head, that finally had him give up on his Easter miracle

He didn't say it would happen. They have to make time lines, even if they have to push them back.

RE: The motivating factors inside Trump's head, that finally had him give up on his Easter miracle

I contribute having pneumonia at aged two as to why, I'm so rarely sick. The fact that I had all of the child hood diseases too.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m., there was a brief update on one of my radio stations tonight. I wish it would have have given more numbers but they didn't. Over 200,000 infected with 50% tested Asymptomatic.

Thinking about that Asymptomatic part alone, could indicate it won't be gone until it runs it's course. Fauci could be right about the possibility of needing a vaccine like we have for the flu.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

I'm sure you are aware that Russia decided not to endorse the plans of opec to reduce oil production in order to raise gas prices around the time of the start of this virus.

Saudi Arabia increased production hoping to drive some of the competition out by out lasting them. That was the original reason for drop in gas prices.

I'm not sure if it's still the same or giving a break during the this virus.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

What it actually did was release the hold Saudi Arabia and other OPEC companies had around the globe. Especially the U.S.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

One of them he sold was among the first he had to deal with.

RE: Legal Ramifications to Trump for Malfeasance in COVID-19 Crisis

I don't know who the big hitters for healthcare are in your state jim

I know Mclaren and Munson started taking over big time in my state starting around 2014 or so.

They seem to have gotten pretty fat. I'm not too impressed with either one so far but I really haven't had to use them enough to make an actual assessment.

what his businesses hold, which are also out of his control, I can't say.
