RE: Please Answer....

Hello TM,

It sounds like good advice from those two.

Maybe I am not familiar with the culture, but from what I understand it was the look they shared with each other that made the situation uncomfortable. If so, maybe just a simple hi or friendly encounter might smooth things over...like was suggested.

I hope the best.

Hello Ysa,

Good for you. I hope it winds up being longer than you anticipated and you make the best of it. thumbs up

RE: Wow! Best coverage on what happened, so far . . .

That would be pretty cool...beamed around here to there....but traveling back in time or into the future I think would be useful of sorts. Imagine if you knew the lottery numbers for the next billion dollar lottery prize.

RE: Wow! Best coverage on what happened, so far . . .

Hello SG,

I remember reading about that story and how incredible it was. I suppose I have not realized about that sort of thing happening to this day. ...but, I can imagine it most likely is and even more advanced.

a short story...

laugh Loh.....maybe you are on to something. That is probably why that dream ended the way it did. laugh

a short story...

Interesting Palm, at least yours hit that point. Mine just kind of ended while it was beginning to get good. mumbling

a short story...

Hello Loh,

I could not even get lucky in my dream....how the story is...is exactly how it happened. laugh I wondered to myself why the dream did not progress further. confused

It is funny you show up. Now people might think that I am Robert, and maybe even you Loh....because Robert and Loh could be one in the same. That would make us all the same now. laugh

a short story...

No Palm....that is kinda why I wrote this story. That dream was very compelling....I guess.

What was your dream about?

a short story...

There was actually a time that many thought that I really was Robert. Now, I think that Loh is Robert, or Robert is Loh. thumbs up

a short story...

Actually Palm....this is the exact dream I had last night. laugh

RE: Creation or Evolution?

Just another thought...

I believe the principal behind evolution is that the environment shapes how evolution works. dunno For example, I heard that there were people (children in particular) that were discovered in a cave....I am not sure of the circumstance on how they got there...but it is my understanding they had been there for many years, if not most of their lives. When discovered, they had noticed their eyes and ears have become deformed.

Another example, when astronauts remain in orbit from some extended length of time, without proper exercise, they begin to loose their muscles and lose bone density.

So, if evolution is a product of environment....I wonder over the millions, if not billions of years that life has existed on this planet...why everything had not eventually evolved into the same being.

dunno

RE: Creation or Evolution?

Just a thought...

If evolution applies only to the physical being....as we are to understand with human evolution.

What if God is more an energy force and not a physical being...does evolution apply to that?

dunno

RE: Are you really ready to get married?

laugh ....never underestimate a woman. uh oh laugh

what causes cancer

Hello Ms. Usha,

I apologize for the delay in response. I didn't have much time yesterday.

Firstly, I am happy you are still around and you shared your thoughts here. :)

Secondly, I hope your mom can overcome the cancer. That is something else...she seems to have lead a very healthy life and still got it. :( hug

I was listening last night to a Joe Rogan podcast where he had a sleep expert guest on. The guest said that not having proper sleep can also lead to cancer. I was surprised to hear that. He said that people should get anywhere from 7 to 9 hours a sleep a day....and it is very critical that is obtained. He said there were many medical dangers by not doing so.

So now, we can add a lack of sleep to the list.

It would seem anything unnatural we introduce to our body (not only consume) is not a good thing. Maybe cancer is what the result is for these unnatural things/activities.

dunno

Again Ms. Usha....happy to see you. :)

Boh,

Hopefully that is not the case, they want us dead.

what causes cancer

Just thought of this that has not been mentioned....what about microwaves....now 5G in particular. There really is no way of protecting against that.

dunno

what causes cancer

Hello Boh....very interesting, I suspect a lot of what you said is behind cancer. You bring up a good point about finding out where cancer is and is it higher among people in certain areas. I just seen a tv program about 2 weeks ago saying they now have the technology to do that....even down to individual streets of a city. With that knowledge, it might be possible to identify some causes of cancer that are isolated to certain areas with high cancer rates.

About what you are saying with the animals, it would seem nearly impossible to avoid consuming some sort of genetically modified product. Even the garden seeds one buys from the store have been modified or been affected by some sort of modification.

what causes cancer

Hello DL,

Thank you for that input as well. Okay....so I am getting that eating a healthy diet is key. Not just any healthy diet, an organic one. This year I didn't have time to put the garden in, but next year looks like a different story. :) I appreciate your information....I have been mindful of my diet, but there are times that I do stray from the path. So I am going to make it a point to stay a little closer to it more often. thumbs up

what causes cancer

Hello TM,

Thank you for that advice. For me, I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle like you point out, but being busy...sometimes it is difficult to. It is easier during the busy work day to stop at a gas station and pick up one of their disgusting deep fried products and eat that. :( I live in a smaller area where finding healthy food to grab quickly is not exactly possible.

Well, I can make as many excuses as I would like, but I suppose I can prepare some sort of fruit and vegetable dish ahead of time for the next day. idea grin

But I will say....I love my 8 hours of sleep. thumbs up

wave cheers

what causes cancer

Hello Secret,

Thank you very much for your extensive response. thumbs up I enjoyed reading it all and its informative content. You are right, sugar is contain in so many products....even beer, the body converts it into a sugar content.

I was going to say something else but it disappears me right now. Once I think of it again, I will add it. :) I guess I am getting old. laugh

what causes cancer

Hello Robert,

I think that is some very sound advice about enjoying life while you can. True everything you say....well...there is one exception about the hand of man meddling with what we ingest....that is the sun...like you mention. hmmm

cheers

what causes cancer

Hello Jim,

Thank you for the link. I will be checking that out shortly as well. So far from the posts I have read, it seems like the hand of man meddling with what you ingest in our bodies seem to be a common denominator.

what causes cancer

Hello Viking,

That could be...it is just inevitable and there is no getting around it. dunno Who knows, maybe one day AI will be able to scan every cell in our body and eliminate the harmful ones. At least in the movies that is possible (the scanning of the body and fixing it). laugh

wave

what causes cancer

Hello Alu,

True. It is more than just inhaling things. I have heard of people getting cancer without touching a cigarette their entire lives.....like Robert mentioned in his post. From my experience with people with cancer....there is nothing pretty about the nature of it.

wave

what causes cancer

Hello Sea,

Thank you for sharing your input. I will be checking out your #2 shortly. From what I have gathered from your first one is that it could possibly be due to a spiritual nature of existence. If so, that could explain why science has yet to crack the code.

RE: A Simple balanced life......

thumbs up

I cannot come up with many positive things about worrying....other than it might be used for a motivational factor. Otherwise, it does harm to the mind and the organs of the body. So, if you are a self-motivator, it probably would be good to avoid worry in general. I would think anyway.

thumbs up

RE: Happy Birthday, sweet Crypt!!!!!!...

Happy B-Day! Palm.

have you ever thought about exercise....

laugh LK.

But yes, I think sleep is very very important. I know how my next day is if I wake up in the middle of the night for some odd reason. :( Thankfully, it doesn't happen often.

thumbs up

have you ever thought about exercise....

Hello ExR,

I does not have to be about building a house. That is something I found very labor intense, which I feel is good for the body....and it is achieving community benefit. But, I also have a neighbor that only cuts their grass twice a year. As soon as I find extra time, I plan on making arrangements where I can maybe cut their grass for them a couple of times.

Or...just doing something big for yourself....something that people have really never considered....and then they realize that hey, I can do that too. Motivator, influencer....inspiration.....those all take time and energy. Like Merc said about people on the internet....

I am not saying sacrifice yourself and become obsessed...although being obsessed with love is not a bad thing...I think....but maybe there might be moments in one's life they might realize, that instead of lifting these weights for an hour, maybe I can grab my lawnmower and cut somebody's grass for an hour (for an example...it could be anything).

dunno

have you ever thought about exercise....

Merc,

Good point about people on the internet. Can you imagine what those hours could be used for? Like I mentioned earlier in a response, there are so many how to videos on Youtube that I think one could almost learn to do anything.

I am not against exercising. In fact, after my current project, I plan on going back to it. But during this project I am doing, I had realized that my exercise routine is no longer really necessary...and I am achieving something productive for the community, and given the circumstances, something for myself. However, the profit I make, much of it I do intend on putting it back into the community with improving additional homes and temporarily getting people to help that like doing what they do and need some extra money.

I have worked on this project now for a span of two summers....and when I was done for the day with those summer days....I was covered top to bottom with sweat.....and I absolutely loved it. :) It was a better exercise routine than I had ever done for myself.

Merc...this is suppose to be a thought provoking blog. From my understanding, you are into exercise at a very high level. I am guessing that you have probably, through the years, motivated others that have not really taken care of themselves as well as they could have....to step up and take that next step. In other words, I am guessing you have inspired others. There are many ways to be more than just yourself. Who knows, you might be exercising two years from now....and a thought might pop into your head about doing an activity for just an hour or a day...that might replace part of your exercise routine for that moment. dunno
