Actually Jac....I just read the second portion of your comment.
I would read my whole comment to Suzie to address both of your comments.
And like your first comment, do you have any evidence with your claim of women being fired if they got married? I have never heard of that before.
If true, that sounds like a lawsuit too. Geez....all these women could be multi-millionaires with law suits. I am not a lawyer, as stated before....but, that sounds to me like a grounds for a case.
Do you have just one example of where that happens...where the woman and men are doing the exact same job but they call it something different to justify a lower wage to the woman?
I just need to get a better understanding of what you are saying.
BTW....I would reference the end of what I mention in the response to Suzie...
....about employers wanting to pay the least for employees...and men being less agreeable.
The days of a happy united couple of different genders will only happen when each understands each other.
That is why feminism was so great for us men....we are now better at understanding the female.
Now, it is time for the female to better understand the the male. However, unfortunately...that time has not come yet. They are still choosing to listen with deafen ears. But, I will say...I am seeing a lot more women starting to become "woke"...to the wants and needs of men.
So, it is not far off.
The union between men and women will be far better than it has ever been.
If women are not getting paid the same as men for doing the same exact work and amount of production....I highly encourage those ladies to seek legal advice. I am not a lawyer, but I have heard there are laws against that.
Yes indeed, there are some crooked and dishonest people out there.
Here is a little fun fact I just heard recently....(well, it was said to be factual..and makes perfect sense).
Employers are ALWAYS trying to get the work they need done at the CHEAPEST rate.
Does that no make sense for a business? I mean, if they can get it done at the cheapest rate, they can make more profit. Right?
Well, if men are less agreeable than women...and they ask for a higher wage and get it....whereas, a woman accepts that lower wage (because business wants to pay the lowest possible)...whose fault would that be then? The men?
Thank you for the clarification. That still does not dismiss the fact that the ad did exist. However, women did work then.
Honestly, I think if a woman wanted to work during those days...war or no war...they could have still worked.
The real problem with women not openly working as much as men during those days was called a family...a.k.a. marriage...a.k.a. being a mother. You do away with this major issues for women, they can now work as frequently as men do....as today displays.
I don't think feminism is directly responsible for more women working today. I think it is the fact that women no longer want to participate in traditional family structures that has done it.
Women could have always worked if they wanted to. ...and with them working today proves it.
I am doing fine, thank you for asking. How have you been?
Yes, life does change and one needs to identify the change....and then, change with it.
However, when the change of life...offers people limited opportunities to change with this change of life, the change of life may overtake the people....who have no opportunity to change.
In other words:
Women either have changed or are changing.
Men have pretty much been forced to stay in a traditional role. ...but they are executing what very little change option they have available.
So as the world does change...there is one gender who is falling behind with this change.
Tens....I agree with you. C.C. does make some very valid points.
I am not sure he is proud of making these points and people agreeing with him about them. But, valid points must be identified and mentioned, no matter how grim them sound.
People speak of woke culture. I think feminism is waking up many today....and C.C. is helping to make that understood.
CC..you bring up an interesting point about "strong" women these days...not being strong.
It is interesting, because it makes you, or shall I say, myself wonder...what exactly is "strong" in their eyes.
I think I can see what you are alluding to....with modern day technology, it is fairly easy street to feel you are strong because you are able to survive on your own. But what happens if there is a breakdown in this technology....or...what happens if the world turns crazy. Then how strong is somebody?
back in the day when I smoked weed, I was a huge Pink Floyd fan....and actually, I still am. David Gilmour is the best guitarist...in my book.
I like weird music though...stuff I don't even know what the lyrics are saying (foreign language)....some Mantras too. I kind of shifted on my taste of music through the years, but Pink Floyd has always been there.
It is a lot about the vibration of the music....over the words/message of the music for me.
I would suggest, if your information is correct, that these ladies in that field bring together a class-action lawsuit. As far as I know, it is against the law to discriminate.
Aez...you are not boring. I never knew that about Lumber Jills. When I was a teenager I worked in the woods, cutting down trees with a chainsaw and stacking the logs by hand. Of course, during the wars, they even had cruder technology for that sort of work. That is hard work...and amazing to hear the ladies were out there. But you are right, during the wars, the ladies did step up.
...again, you are not boring.
I hope you found a new job. I think the last I heard from you, you were being let go from your one job...I think it was at the hospital. If I remember, they let you go over some BS.
That is a very good example, where we become immune to unpleasant smells as we are immersed in them for a longer duration.
The same can be said, like you mentioned, for the ways of the world...we, more and more take for granted...however, the longer we are in it, the more we overlook and become blinded to the unhealthy warning signs.
I think eventually, the unhealthy will turn into disease....and the crippling effects will not be able to be overlooked anymore.
Without getting into too much detail....I was just talking to a young woman who grew up without her father. She finally found out who her father was, and when contacting him...he didn't want anything to do with her. Think about that for a second. Put yourself in her shoes. It devastated her...and the rest of her life will be shaped by this devastation.
I cannot disagree with your own personal assessment of your way of living...I think many today have followed your path. My suspicion is that, the path we have taken, has been laid out for us, by design.
Feminism today.
