Because they don't like her!

@Cap. Not my kind of party but I get your point!

Because they don't like her!

They were even annoyed that she needed to go home. Pretty heartless, I thought!

Because they don't like her!

@Twazzle
Would you like a job? lol handshake

Because they don't like her!

@ Calypso

Could be a class issue!

Because they don't like her!

Nam that should have read 'couldn't see another option'.

Because they don't like her!

Thanks Nam but I could see another option and I was in shock that the others couldn't see it then one person said. We're all so mad because we know you're right!

Left me feeling quite depressed. crying

Because they don't like her!

@ Cal

SINGING IN THE RAIN

Minerva, yes I'm coming to Spain to visit a friend soon. Save some rain for me.

Gentlejim and Butterflies welcome to the crazy club. lol

Nicefeet. Perhaps your grandchildren could make some fake rain with a watering can. I'm sure they'd love it, that is if they can afford to spare the water.

SINGING IN THE RAIN

Minerva I'll be over to join you in a few days so lets hope we get a downpour!

Nam, I'm definitely a rainyday lover. Lovely listening to that again!

Mimi can you find Rainy Day People by Gordon Lightfoot. hug

SINGING IN THE RAIN

Oh dear then it's almost certainly me unless John and I are the only normal ones. I'm glad to hear that your plants got rained on Calypso.

And I'm not sure I'd do my crying in the rain so I'll sing that one by a log fire with the company of my dog and a comforting drink.

SINGING IN THE RAIN

Oh yes Redo all that sliding around in the mud! cheering

SINGING IN THE RAIN

I don't often get a cold these days and come to mention it, I rarely feel cold either! yay

RE: Do something that scares you every day

Post..

I'm sure practice helps but I can only do the things I'm comfortable with now and public speaking isn't one of them.

And, yes, the children and grandchildren are my new focus. It's very scary!!!moping

RE: Do something that scares you every day

Post...

Thunderstorms I can't resist just love to be out there and at sea it's even more spectacular. applause

RE: Do something that scares you every day

Yes Calypso public speaking is the scariest thing. I've done it and got away with it but never again! barf

I also used to ride pillion on some very fast motorbikes but recently stopped that too. Most of them have died on the road so I feel lucky to be alive.

RE: Do something that scares you every day

Post..
That is something that comes naturally to me despite my friends warning me to be careful. Having said that they never try to stop me so maybe they know it's not such a bad idea.

professor applause thumbs up

RE: life and our choices

This blog has come at a significant time for me. Do you know the saying that the best form of defence is attack. There does seem to be a cult following for all things evil.

As one of the bloggers mentioned, it may be nothing to do with the parents but a state of mind.

Have you seen some of the computer games out there and some of the comments put on social media. It is baffling as to why anyone would want to spend their life being evil and I sometimes wonder if we are reverting back to the dark ages.

Where is the guidance when even teachers use the 'f' word and show little restraint but then look what they're up against.

I wish there was an answer and it worries me that it's making an opening for some very extreme organisations.

RE: What is your opinion?

I've tried several times to answer this one but I just find myself deleting it.

If a person has special expertise and no person who is single is available to take up that post then I have to say that it must be the man and his family who choose and we must respect and value them for that.

My mother lived in third world countries caring for and liberating destitute people but she had to leave us all in order to do that.

When she died she said that she had no regrets but I missed my mum seeing my children ie her grandchildren growing up. I think my answer to this is that we should not be judge and jury on this as so many people may have stood to benefit had he not fallen into the wrong hands.

RE: finally, the much needed rain

We too have just had our first significant rainful for months. I talk to someone from Norway who has nothing but rain so the weather pattern is definitely shifting. Two years ago we had rain non stop all summer and you may remember that damage was done in UK on a massive scale.

Enjoy your rain lindsy. I'm off for a swim now in the local outdoor pool lol. dancing

RE: A Real Man.....What is a...

Who wouldn't appreciate such a darling little man! heart wings

THE THREE OF US men too please!

I want to reinstate this blog which I inadvertently deleted.

DRESS

What a lovely sentiment Nicefeet. I miss those times too. Everything had a purpose and we were constantly passing down that knowledge to our children/ grand children.

Nowadays children only seem to want to use computers.

And here we are on computers debating it. doh confused

DRESS

Oh Mimi that's not uncommon. I taught dressmaking to ten yr olds and 85yr olds.

It's like everything, 'You have to want to!!' teddybear

DRESS

Yes Jac I thought that might confuse you. I think someone suggested that you might be a dressmaker.

DRESS

Yes BC I find that annoying too. Ones eyes are kind of drawn toward the floor somehow.

DRESS

Well KN I'm a Dressmaker but I've never thought curtains were easy. You need so much space.
