No argument, my friend, CC. You know the saddest thing about the Vietman crimeS, apart from the deaths/wounded on all sides? My friends in anthropology and sociology, let alone history, tell me that during Kennedy's and Johnson's escalations, guided by criminals like Kissinger and Quacknamara, almost no experts with their training were consulted. Before war, sure, the generals have important views. But these other folks can't be left outside of the rooms of power. My two cents, and I'm sticking by it!
If you don't know the many stories on these sorts, complaining about freebies, etc., a special, but perhaps common variety of the type, I ain't about to be more specific. You should know. Many do.
Great, W. But wish they had designed the float to show her red knees, as well as the saggers. A sign of the talent that she used to advance in life. Probably has had a red back from time to time.
Such a proto loss, one fewer Tagalog shouting Filipina, here on the otherwise terrific CS. If you go, don't let the door hit you on the backside as you leave. It's inspiring and practical that you find it useless. Goodbye.
W. Why even respond to Rafael? There are many others here who are actually thought provoked, much more worthy of dialogue. His TD-HD Syndrome is likely hopeless and terminal.
Thanks, Chat. You are right. his style is indeed troubling, but his accomplishments are earthshaking, compared to previous Potus's, with rare exceptions. I'll tone it down some. Who knows, might even get a few of the CS hottie totties to look upon me with .approving eyes. Progress.
And it's about time, most lovely V. We have even coined a long teutonic style word for it. AntidisestablishmentSWAMPintarianism. It's definitely supercalifragialistexpialidocious. And I must shout it loud enough, just to sound atrocious.
R, no more responses for you, until you promise to start taking those Joe Biden morning meds once more. And to stop eating those funny SL meadow magic 'rooms. Last chance, tiger..
Dr. Phil, Conrad. In der Regel, schreiben Sie sehr wenig. Viel besser, wenn Sie uns solche Doktorarbeiten freilich geben. Voelker hoehrt die Signale, bis zum letzten Gefecht.....die Internationale, erkaempt das Menschenrecht.
On my last visit to Portugal, attending to my application for dual citizenship, the plane back had it's share of Chinese. I had my mask on, and washed hands a good deal. But that Airbus 350! ---what a machine.
It gets much worse, MO, my friend. See my blog on the elbow bump. Now we real knuckle draggers can no longer salute passing wahinees. Just what is the world coming to, I ask?
Yep, GG. Sitting here in twin number two's new apartment, listening to the Beeb newshour, while she and Mom shop for a few more items, to round out the girlie cave. As you know, there's no shortage of drama in God's good world, But having spent some time with kids and their families, to me the real surprise is that there isn't much more. We humans hide a good dea, and the demise of many a relationship begins when the theatrics seep out. Sources, evolution, recovery and so on, it's an interesting topic.
Sealed, signed and delivered. Clever females---my final undoing. Got the rosary beads around my neck. Votive candles a cookin'. Voodoo dolls all around. Will Bravo be enough protection as well? BTW, my views on our current POTUS are quite nuanced, as to his many warts.. But not easy for many to gauge with equanimity.
So right we are, KB. Joining pseudoestranged mom to help twin girl number two set up her first place outside of the home, for her first job, awesome, PAID, internship, at a serious biological research lab nearby. Got her a nice new car. She's a good enough driver, but as with many young ladies in my experience, has a bit of a lead foot, now and then. Worse than boys???? BTW, my rides are all antiques, now, and I had trouble even figuring out how to start the contraption, let alone understanding the Star Trek radio. And yes, I cried on the way back home last night. Happy tears, in part.
Well, GG,thanks for the post. Yes, this virus is far from being well understood, in most important ways. But from what I've seen, we in the West have public health systems robust enough to deal with it. My concern is its getting a foothold in places without this infrastructure. Even Smallpox, highly communicable, and often deadly, all three forms, was made extinct (except for laboratory samples, and possible weapons stashes), by 1975, with its last stand in the poverty and chaos of India. Public health practices, along with vaccination, did it. By comparison, this is a girlie virus. Tease. Tease.
Forget it, fellas. Sure, she's a catch. But look elsewhere. I've spent plenty of time with the girl, and believe me, she's a delightful handful for the average slob. So unless you are not an average slob, forget it. You heard it first right here, from Prince Machiavelli.
Pandemic Schmandemic--EIS, CDC, WHO... Medico-schmos....the lot....
