RE: Foxy Lady & my deer friends

JN. Two schlubs, different politics, same thoughtful Biff Bump award. I love to watch the antics of our eagles and osprey. But try to do so across the bay, at our awesome Holbrook---Smith Cove bird sanctuary, moored, while doing my own angling on the Vierkaeserkaesehoch mega yacht. Not MAGA. But we all hope neither will decide to set up shop atop of one of our trees on property. Then they get to stay protected as long as they like. Neighborhood cats, small dogs, and folks walking without hats beware.

Lost opportunities...bucket lists.

Ah, Biff. A wise woman indeed. One gets more flies with honey than vinegar. I'm trying.

Lost opportunities...bucket lists.

Stringman---see the note to IW. Serious carpe diem think.

Lost opportunities...bucket lists.

IW. No worries. I'm renting out mine for two cents American. But hurry soon, as it gets shorter almost daily, and soon will contain only two items. Breathing, and sitting on the John---both without assistance.

Lost opportunities...bucket lists.

OK, S. Yep, those are OK between islands there. Not 50 miles with islands on Oahu, though. But the one we put on his yacht was for long distances. Of course, nowadays, many are abandoning SW for satellite rigs. Actually, both are nice to have, for different reasons and simple back up.

RE: Trinidad

I. How about a little chat on your auxiliary power, your reefing, weather sails, the single side band for weather fax, rescue raft and Epirb, weather vane self steering, ground tackle, lightning strike protection, etc.

RE: I'm conflicted

H. CC is rounding. It's actually 19.32758394 %.

RE: Trinidad

This week, all, the Beeb did a story on a kid who used social media to fake leadership in a rock group---press releases, videos and all. Finally he was exposed, but expressed no remorse, claiming he got what he wanted. Lots of fakes about.

Been journaling for decades...

Agree with those impulses, Biff. Yet I do look back at the writings from time to time. Helps with that great trickster---human memory---, as a gauge for whatever minor progress happens in my life, and much more often, to ponder great errors. But perhaps most important is the organizing of my thoughts, which sometimes helps put the next foot forward. Sort of like following a rhumb line, through the thick fog.

RE: I'm conflicted

Conflicted about men, PF? I bet no one here ever would have noticed. Sold any Vettes yet? They are great values, compared with the Eurotrash competition. Success.

RE: Trinidad

I, I should know a bit about what could go wrong. In English, my question wasn't exactly a request for information.

Walking a mile in other's moccasins....

Wise doubts, JN, but it's really true. And she's also one of my primary care clinician's. Lots of trust, both ways.

RE: Beauty - or, those who cannot do, teach.

R---NOW you are talking, my man.

RE: The job

Congrats, PF. Sounds much better than all the other gigs. Now the real work starts. First prize, one week in Harrisburg. Second prize, two weeks in Harisburg.

RE: Beauty - or, those who cannot do, teach.

Biff, I so get it. My Adonis looks, and Hawking brilliance, go hand in hand with my St. Francis humility. Not to mention the millions. But the package somehow remains, alas, still short of total irresistability. So I, too, have been experimenting with the hair work. Leaning toward the shiny as well. The orange top comb over, just like you know who. It's gotta work.

RE: The Fitbit Experience

Bravo's wonderful for brisk walks, twice daily---brisk for the big dog---not the littler one. But only after he's done his business, which fortunately happens soon on leaving. Before this, he has to sniff everything in God's creation, along the path. So mostly moving slowly, for the first few minutes. But any dog owner knows where the terms number one and number two come from. Life has order.

RE: The Fitbit Experience

Tai Chi, Qi gong, others. Whose counting.

RE: Out of work again

Sorry you had that experience, PF. Next time, grin, bear and even encourage it, long enough build up a case with evidence, and----well you can figure out the rest. A great way to get the slugs to change is to hit them deep in the purse. I should know from my experience with my archdiocese.

RE: The Fitbit Experience

Try Tai Chi. Probably much better for sans mens et corpora, and can be a social event. Also from the East. Great for the Wei Chi deficits.

RE: Oh what a beautiful morning

PF, yep, deliverance. The coast here is an area full of wealthy folks from away. So called beautiful people. I like to take trips inland/upland, often on two wheels. Beautiful back roads, often on the way to visit girls at UNI. But it soon begins to resemble Apalachia. Nicer folks than here in most ways, but the gene pool definitely thins out a bit. Some call it Syndrome Land.

RE: Scruffy Car

H. Yep. A neat car, and desk, are sure signs of sick minds. I should know, since I stopped my Prozac.

RE: Blog mash up

The official EU policies allowing women to do so are the real reasons for the Brexit referenDUMB vote.

Social smoker?....

And, CC. Used to be in that part of the East, family/professional standing guided parents in picking spouses for their kids. These days, not so much, as kids are using more of their own factors in their own choices. The days of the 5 chicken/2 goat reversed dowry may be gone for good. Goddess help us all.

Social smoker?....

Love to be the object of delightful near cat fights, even if only imagined, here in pointy pap Grousetown. VERY pointy. Tata, ladies.

Why the pics and profile are really only starting points....

Yes, Biff, sounds like a decent thing to have done. And safety in numbers, no? Well, C, the possible helpfulness of using prospects' blogs to help decide on possible matches, like all things in life, can backfire. Perhaps such use should be accompanied by using lots of other info---CS provides much of this. But finally, at least for me, vetting brings chatting which leads to texting/skyping/and phone talks---ultimately onto meetings. I'm still searching, after a few years, and a number of fun but ultimately dead end rendezvous. CS continues to be a tiny, but enjoyable part of me, which who knows, may someday lead to grander things. Should we throw out the infant with the bath water?

RE: When Solitaire's the only game in town

Forget IT, Biff. Old fashioned ways work best. My 95 year old maiden aunt has taken me under her wing. She's sure she can find a suitable link up among the younger members of her knitting circles. She's quite patient, as am I, and this is her tenth year on task.

RE: Mick Jagger needs a new heart valve...

All, first saw them, in Providence RI, in late 60's. Over all these years, the shows still are full of energy. Mick never slows down, so hope he's OK. These days, valve redos are almost routine. Saw the new Who (10 members, two drummers, small horn section, etc.) couple of years ago in Boston---same awesome show as ever. After two hours of many of their own older hits, band went back stage, and D&T stayed for another half hour, talking with the audience, and doing some acoustic stuff. Wonderful.

Social smoker?....

Yep, PF. My number is closer to 1000.

Trying to understand each other.....

Yep, B. Good point.

Trying to understand each other.....

PF, congrats. And BA, or like what there is a day after eating those beans.
