Well, of course, I'm writing as if this lady is perfect. But in cases like hers, sometimes lurking deep below are sizable personal liabilities, freely to share. Mr. Bobbit knew.
Good thought, KB. Yep, none of us are getting any younger. You'd think that for many of us, the years might render us more tolerant and understanding, making our final committed relationship a breeze. Sadly, apparently for many, not. So my tactic has been to take my sweet time getting to know prospects, first by writing here, eventually by meeting. Finding that most still want marriage, but so many seem hardly prepared. Walking wounded on CS---imagine that?
Yep, bc and ER. I like the idea of reworking contracts every so often, and at major life changes. At least being open to discussing these things. But perhaps with our complicated modern lives, too many choices, and much else, the simpler nature of unions in previous generations just don't work as well.
And, that wasn't covered at all, my friend. But as to parenthood, what I was trying to say was, anyone can make a mistake, ONCE, even if it involves noncompliance with inexpensive, effective and easy to use modern contraception. And Clinical Fetus Murder. But after that, with few exceptions, time to tie the tubes, or use the 5 year forearm implants. The rest of my original post then would apply. Now that THAT'S covered.
Z. Nice to have you join all the folks here. Lots of us are first here for companionship, and hopefully more. Over time, while still a goal, finding a partner tends to give way to understanding a lot about others and the world, having laughter/fun, and learning about ourselves, funny enough. I often wonder about making some male travel friends here, and have gotten to know some women as aqcuaintances. Lots of nice folks, and the ueber meanies are in a distinct minority, and often don't stay long. But it isn't exactly always a love fest of groundedness and mental health. You'll see.
We don't need no fake FISA ruses, based on fake UK reporter blogs, didn't help get lockstep prayed for election---Hey, derangement syndrome victims, leave him and the many accomplishes alone. All in all, Nobel prize pending,---after failed senate imlongreachment conviction.
K. Except for the new 100 amp upgrade boxes, I run the romex in my properties. For places one lives in, no need to get a $50 town permit for such. But you can bet they'd love to get their hands on that as well.
Yep, D. How did I ever stand in front of those Vox valve amps, without ear protection, "She loves you, yeah, yeah yeah. " and all the rest of it? I do like hippy dancing to a beer sweat in rock/blues dives, if there are properly installed smoke eaters. But nowadays, this isn't often, and I wear those ear bud protectors.
Yep, w. Now CFM has predictably morphed into PDCIEE.That would be Clinical Fetus Murder and Post Delivery Clinical Infant Extrajudicial Execution. Nice, liberals.
OK, CC. Feminism on the sub continent? Perhaps. I went to school with the husbands of a few ladies from that interesting place, and more gracious and lovely women would be hard to find. This was in Mexico, where decent food was dirt cheap at the time. But during these times, I shamelessly played the starving bachelor, and was invited to dinner at Pakistani and Indian homes. Food to die for, and wonderful children. Sadly, no unattatched sisters or maiden aunts. So almost half a century later, here I am sniffing about on CS. What's wrong with this picture?
Biff, two of my lifelong interests are backpacking, and sailing. In both cases, my experience has been that, since each can last for weeks, compatibility is really important. There is no shortage of cautionary tales of severe incompatibility magically resolving with a thousand meter fatal fall from a narrow trail into a canyon, or an accidental uncontrolled jibe in strong weather leading to a terminal shove into the drink. Beats divorce court for some.
Dangers to marriage.....
K, an old rule in working with couples is, way before the sniffing begins, the union already has serious issues.
