Nice post, BJ. Yep, such hypocrisy is in most of us, at least a bit. But for the largest doses, VERY large, the liberals are unique. Thanks, and keep the great posts going.
Thanks, JS. Yep, having the word lord in it puts many folks off as well. And it isn't a job for the light of heart. My point was that behavior towards each other seems to be changing, and probably not for the better. One still see lots of kindness in the world, as well, so we mustn't loose sight of that also.
I agree. Never had anything even close to a mansion. Especially these days, having more than one needs, is a curse. But compared to 90% of humanity, even modest but decent accommodation is somewhat out of bounds, no?
Wow, FFF seems to get the concept of enough. Might be a bigger stretch for her to get the idea of being grateful. Still, progress is progress, if not constitutionally of the fake sort. VERY fake. If the market indices were to drop by say 40%, on average, I'd jump back in from cash right away. And after a recovery of 10 to 20 % to previous overbought levels, I'd run away with my tail tucked between my legs. As I've done before. So as to respect my gratitude and fears, rather than the greed in all of us. Even though with my cheap guy-self sufficient lifestyle, I really think any more gains these days, with near negative interest rates and low inflation, are truly superfluous. You heard it here first.
Well, one admits to having spent a couple of years in a Vaseline/KY jelly/red knees SEMIN-ary. The other is so compulsively burdened with being a functioning fake, self admitted as well, that anything is possible. Wish both would get over their deep, VERY deep, Vierk man crush.
OK, IW. We'll, I've known some decent Irish men, and they were among the best soldiers, even here in our civil war. Of course, then there are the travelers, even here, but I'm told they mostly aren't really Irish, just have the nice brogue, or even a Scottish burr, as they take the deposit for redoing the roof, or plumbing---never to return. And thankfully, I no longer have the impulse to strangle any RC Priest on sight, although I'm still working on the anger at a few criminal Bishops and Cardinals. Still tough when any one innocently touches me on the shoulder, with regrets. Most Priests are decent, and a real asset to their flocks. Same with the nuns. With the shortage of both, we are seeing many here from other lands. Our current Priest is from Francophone Africa, and a first class sort. But they have him officiating at lots of Masses Saturdays abd Sundays, in addition to all the rest he does. I couldn't do it. Brother, at his mid sixties, is still as bright as ever, and a terrific writer. Years ago when we visited him and his home in the Pacific, I tried to get him to join me in a little writing of conjoint memoirs, on life growing up in our factory town near Boston. If you got him for his two functional hours right after breakfast, you could get some work done. But he was then such a dry drunk, that even our twins found him hard to take at any our, and at a tender age even told him so. He's still alive, as he wisely din't slap them, and actually is much easier to deal with, before the real lunch starts. I am so lucky to have found AA three decades ago, after release from an eye opening bottom of my own, in Jail. I often wonder why so many, as Sister, never seem to get it, but I have my ideas. In these regards, Alanon gets it, as it's at its essence a family problem, and often this realization can help. Don't you think so? Not to blame anyone---just to understand a little tough love. Before it turned into a community pre-release center, for early release trusted felons, at out local jail, I was able to start and run a group for several years---helped me more than any inmate. And many seemed to benefit as well, ---see some doing well in town now and again. We only can do our best. But help has its place.
Hey, beautiful, You still fending off all those excitable Irish suitors? Hope Sis is OK. My brother calls daily. Bumbles his pathetic alcoholic guilt, as long as I can keep my wits about me, and remain kind. Somebody has to do it.
Yep, LCBR, our friend. If you really want to get his dander up, quote a bit from "In the Closet of the Vatican". A page turner. But more to the point. Human clones. Of the Vierk? IMPOSSIBLE.
Thank's HL. but please, refer to me here in ways that match my wholesome humility. As a totally hot, studly, treetop, amazing wordsmith. Easy to abbreviate.---THSTAW. All the competition can produce are yellow puddles.
MM, our friend, ---unlike all you great unlucky unwashed proletarians here, I actually was fortunate enough to live near Punxsatawny Phil and his minions. Wish I were there in PA, and knew of that hottie CO back then. But I digress, I've done a rigorous study of Phil, and as with the vaccines, find his predictions, and promises, completely valid. Even trustworthy. You can trust me, as usual. I'm not like all those others.
Thanks dd. Usually I'm out of whatever league I'm stuck in as well. So no worries. AB, yep, satisfied, and grateful, ---for what I am, who have me, that which I have, and where I am located. One form of master happiness, one may say..
Hi, DD. At the prestigious Vierk Institutet, for the treatment of political syndromes, we also have several treatments to slow, and even to turn back aging. We used to just sell a bottle or two of the magic snake potion, and let folks take it home to use on their own. But we had to stop when one excitable 95 YO man got carried away, and wound up back in kindergarten. We also are much more careful with out rental time travel machines. And especially our Mojo hands.
Yep, BCJ. And My brother's lawyer, whom I recommended that he get for protection of his interests, Now tells our (5 other siblings) attorney, that there may be title issues. Grey hair, and beer belly getting bigger.
Good point, MM. But lots can happen with so much going on at those levels of biology. That's really what is behind post marketing surveillance of drugs.
Physicians, well perhaps in time. But whenever an allergy comes around, I first listen to what my Rice Crispies tell me, after the milk hits the bowl. Sort of like crystals, energy fields, the I Ching, and certain great Books.
Pioneering, as for Davy Crockett and pals in the Alamo. And Orz, my motor cycling hottie, right on. We should never be completely forgiven for our actions, but it's helpful to try to understand the times we live in, before judging too harshly.
RE: US highway robbery: Highway robbery in SF- caught on camera TeslaCam
Yep, W. And with some 50 new Executive Orders, we'll all be living in interesting times.
