RE: Marrying for money

Marriage for money. LJ. Not really on my agenda, although I avoid non asset, uneducated, GD's. One may therefore ask what I'm doing with all the pobrecitas on this site. Well, looking for that pearl in the deep seagrass, one might say.

RE: TDS - Trump Derangement Syndrome

Yep, W. It's a true syndrome, of wide ranging severity, and recently some possibly documented imaging and other biological evidence. On pet scans/MRI's, folks with this TDS show significantly decreased activity in the prefrontal brain regions (insight and judgment) and in important connecting lower nuclei. All is made much worse when hearing our brilliant President's voice, and seeing images of buffed over near orange long bleached hair, loud enough to hear over the mega magnets. There are supporting findings on neurological/neuropsychological studies, including Rorschach card testing. The latter, in severe cases, such as for the folks in your post, give evidence of near delusional and other borderline psychotic features. Decreased reality testing abilities. Except, of course, in the case of Shuck 'n Jive Waters. In spite of repeated studies, little tissue at all in these areas important for such higher functions was observed, and the rest of the gross morphology seemed to show distinct lower simian feature, and larger primitive lower ("reptilian") brain sizes. But I'm no expert, just like to read the literature for chuckles and political.support.

RE: Democrat calls for death of Republican's family. Now the typical norm for Democrats

Well, think about your broader point, W. If your toddler somehow got lost in a crowd, which would you rather have. In the middle of a tea party rally---or among the crowds in 68 Chicago, or Seattle a decade ago?

RE: Trevor Noah on non-scientists denying global warming & the idiots who mislead or believe them.

Actually, JN, while I'm not for open borders (good fences make for good neighbors), there is one benefit to such, as to world population. Apart from effective contraception, the best evidence for effecting a lower rate of live births is a higher standard of living. Few migrants, legal or otherwise, leave homes of high incomes, to go where folks are more poor. Except for me each winter in Portugal.

RE: Trevor Noah on non-scientists denying global warming & the idiots who mislead or believe them.

Quite, CC, ---population, and illegal/uncontrolled immigration. And acting perhaps synergistically with both, are the resuls of the marketing/industrial/technology complex. For example, we now (temporarily) are able to feed every soul on earth, although conflict, etc. limit effective distribution. But the moves from local/more natural agriculture/animal husbandry, have us all circling many deep drains, no?

RE: Climate Change Is NOT The Problem.

Well, good points, Micman. But for me the biggest problem is population----of us humans.

RE: Bohemian Rhapsody - a review!

OK, P. Doing fun stuff with the family. Now THERE'S the rub. Keep it up.

President Trump.....

And one, JN, from Sir WC, savior of Britain. If not a liberal by age 18, one has no heart. And if still a liberal at 40, one has no brain.

RE: You can't make this stuff up.....but some people apparently do.

Yep, JN. How about those folks (mostly women it seems) who have crushes on incarcerated criminals---often lifers?!?!

Receiving "Likes" here on CS.....

Such a deal, K!

Receiving "Likes" here on CS.....

Pretty rare?

RE: Country music!

Nice plan, P. Often chats with loved ones help. And in a month, or sooner, see that professional.

Receiving "Likes" here on CS.....

Of course you are correct, H. But I'd just like to know what's going on, and how to prevent it. I even put a line in the profile about it. Also, affraid I'm misreading things, and allowing thousands of luscious females to escape.

RE: Forward

C, I recall your being here before. Shows how patient I AM! Yes patience, combined with good will, humor, willingness to learn, hard work, due dilligence, and a few more things, no? Welcome back, girl.

RE: Am I depressed?

P. See my other post about cheering up by getting out socially. But depression can be caused, uncommonly, by physical medical illnesses. Some serious. Some hormonal, cancerous, and other problems, which are best detected early. So not a bad idea to see a competent medical doctor or nurse practitioner. And yes, pills have their place, but are probably overused, esp. in Kids.

RE: James Taylor updates his 1970 song 'Fire and Rain'.

Yes, CS, smoking hot, lips and all. Took more than a few popsicles, for them, no? Music as well. But I hope I didn't forget to praise our brilliant President in the last posting. Slipping, if so. I'll try harder.

RE: Loneliness, the weekend and more

P. Get out there with people, of any kind. Don't only follow your intrests, but be willing to be pleasantly surprised. Be humble, open minded, demure and kindly. Agree more than not. If you can't say anything good about ANYTHING in this world, say nothing. Any sort of group, religious, artistic, self help, 12 step, musical, collectors', hiking---other activities, bicycling, writing, and so on. And while there, try to be willing to visit a few times, as first impressions have a way of being wrong. You'll soon wonder how it was you were ever lonely. Give folks a chance, as most really are nice and kind, and would love to know more about Mr. P.

RE: Biblical Faith: Rational/Irrational? - 'God, I don't want to die,' U.S. missionary wrote before he w

And socrates, there are bibles, and then there is the Bible, No?

RE: what is loneliness?

To the extent that the loneliness is a form of attatchment, which sounds wierd, but these come in many shapes and forms, ---might not be so good. But as I get up in years, I seem to like my time alone. It's one more thing to think of in starting a committed relationship, which is balanced some by partners being mature and grounded, and having some individual interests, among those to enjoy sharing. As in bed for intimacy, but two beds for snorers.

RE: Why is timing so important in meeting the right partner?

Sure, all, timing plays a part in most things, as does luck. But I'd say Patience, and propper vetting TRUMP (brilliant POTUS) everything. I've been lookimg on CS since our dear God made dirt. But I'm too picky, and not quite right in the head.

Florida.....

Thanks, all. Good points. And that hottie ambassador would be dynamite, in almost all venues. Sur tout, le boudoir chez moi,

RE: "IT'S STILL... OUR COUNTRY"

OK, J. I know there were misspellings. But no worries, my hottie. There are few big, difficult, concept words. Relax.

RE: awwww

Fawns, perhaps more than many wild mammals, seem to have a knack for being accepting of, and accepted by, some of our domesticated animals, including some two legged ones. Nice pic, JN.

RE: Losing a parent!

P. So sorry for your loss. My dad left us in his 80's a decade ago, and mom passed away two months ago, age 93. Both gentle deaths, at home, where both wanted it. Cautionary tale concerning smoking. Sure, a small percentage of such lung problems are cause by other things, but mostly it's cigarettes. Dad and mom both smoked early in life, as did almost everyone who were involved in WWII. But both quit, cold turkey, in their late 20's. After a decade or so, the risk for most of us drops back to that of never smokers. Do you have to manage the estate? As the oldest of six, I'm doing so. Big, but important job.

Some girls.........some fellas.....

No doubt, JN. And am responding as I often do with your thoughtsul posts, but mostly because the number 69 was getting me nervous.

RE: Usually around the holidays

Sorry for the loss of your aunt. Mom just left us here. But the funeral and breakfast seemed to bring all our sibs, and others closer together. One door closes, another opens.

Allopathic/osteopathic medicines....

On target as usual, Biff. Actually, I think it's academics in departments of pharmacology and anthropology (?nutrition) who are doing the yeopersons' work with Savannah remedies. Not that big pharma wouldn't murder to get hold of a patent on any (highly marketable) active agent so discovered. I have mixed feelings about these folks. They certainly have caused trouble for many, in various ways, and still do. On the other hand, they have brought forth many useful medicines (and lots of wanabees). Good with bad?

Allopathic/osteopathic medicines....

And my psychologist---can't forget the awesome Dr. T.

RE: Animal Dreams

In humans, most dream time is supposedly during partial muscle paralysis. All my dogs have had the whining, running on their sides, growling, etc. act going during parts of sleep. So they may dream, but differently from us. Freud considered dreams the royal road to the unconscious, at least in adults. In young kids, it's also play. I tried repeatedly to do hypnotic regression on my bow wows,---with only mixed success. Bravo, you are getting sleeeeepier, and sleeeepier. Now you are in that favorite place of yours, and it has an elevator. You are taking it down to lower floors---deeeeeeper, and deeeeeper. Woof.

RE: Democrats new 'It Girl' can't figure out how to move to D.C.

Good point, W. But my point stands.
