Used to be you could get the whole set in Royal Doulton or similar in any half-decent antiquities shop in the UK - the jug, bowl and chamberpot - but I can't remember when I saw a full set last.

Mimi, same in Spain - illegal to publicly trash the government. I sometimes wish they'd bring that law into UK, I get tired of everyone being oh so quick to criticize and oh so hilarious at the government's expense

In fact in my last paragraph (when will I learn, no-one ever reads my long long long blogs ) I specifically say I am not criticizing.

My pupil wasn't criticizing either - well, not the government. The supermarket for the festive commercialism, perhaps, but that's different?

Been a good Christmas. Good company, thoughtful touches (things downloaded off TV for me to watch, as I don't have a telly) and even a handy one-size-fits-all donation into my bank account, although talking of one-size-fits-all I shall be bursting buttons off my clothes for a week

Molly, it was so totally the spirit of Christmas. I burst into tears, which was very wussy of me, but it had made such an incredible journey over the last 10 years, to reach me for Christmas day

only just noticed - Christmas is over, in Spain. Well, it was a nice day. For those with some hours still to go - enjoy!

To me a book which was donated a charity in SA in 2008 when she died, found its way to the only person in Canada who would have recognized the name, and was forwarded to Spain, is more Christmas.

I saw it from the outside when I was visited Singapore for 2 days but was travelling with the inlaws and they wanted to go to some other place so I never got to have my Singapore Sling, let me know when you are going to be there and somehow I will teleport there!

Vier February was when I always tried to get away to visit the sun and remind myself it did exist - then when I got back I could see the snowdrops and the buds swelling ... just before, you know, the snows hit and buried 'em.
