RE: If Covid is going to be around for a long time...

It's a bit out there, ideas flying here and there. Sorry but they don't all; fly/

RE: If Covid is going to be around for a long time...

It's probably too simplistic outlook... Build more hospitals will only work if you train more staff to run it. Demand for specialised equipment and services will be in bursts, not a steady/predictable stream.

RE: If it's true ... Maybe they had something to say

If it's true, that's when I stopped reading. so before reading anything really.

RE: The Potato Advisory.

This is your greatest work. Nothing you've done before or will do after will mean anything. Nothing you say or do will have any relevance on the internet.

You still wanna post that picture of a coffee....?

RE: Happiness comes in many forms.

Fifth, is ok I spose.

But getting beaten by Ches is like losing an arm wrestle with your little sister.

RE: Why did British Parliament prohibit Americans from printing money?

We paid off all their debts, with the Bendigo/Ballarat gold rush. We finished paying for Sydney harbour bridge, maybe the late 90's...

I think they prohibited us from currency, so we traded in rum. Made a lot of them rich, didn't work out so great for the Aborigines.

RE: Why we should admire America

Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolets...

RE: A Reminder of Why Not

You get muddies in NSW, QLD,NT, and WA...You also get sandies (blue swimmer) here, I've caught them at Glenelg in SA.
Females are no take in QLD, other states have their own rules and limits.
I'll eat them, but really couldnt see the point of paying for crab.

I've only heard bad things about paua (unsure of the spelling) patties, some kind of smelly abalone thing.

RE: A Reminder of Why Not

So, if I'm writing a ground breaking thesis on how jelly fish respond to classical music, or ancient Egyptian basket weaving techniques... Does this automatically make my medical opinions more valid?

I doubt there would be many germ farmers in the school of medicine.

RE: A Reminder of Why Not

A lot of Phd's are career students. You can drag it out for 10 or 15 years, and still be involved with the excitement of student politics, there's always a cause to protest about.

The students that completed their degree and got actual jobs, probably are no longer in the socialist rebellion group, and probably got vaccinated.

RE: Why we should admire America

Mind you, Abba were quite popular back in the day. But they're not really American, so maybe we should admire Sweden a bit more.

RE: Why we should admire America

The main reason why we should admire America, is Gwen Stefani.

RE: Just another Sunday

Yeah, it is what it is.

RE: Just another Sunday

I's be like a rat up a drainpipe, trying to get into her pants.

RE: Why we should admire America

Not really into the BS side of things, back over to you.

RE: Why we should admire America

He wears crocs, and has a Leatherman, you can do better.

RE: Why we should admire America

you like dogs?

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

And it's a picture of... will disappear soon is my guess, the games pretty much up.

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

Fair point, but do you think it's two men? that's a very specific descriptor.

RE: Why we should admire America

I think Freddy Mercury was Zoroastrian. Hope this helps.

RE: Just another Sunday

That would depend on who the fatality was, we either hear nothing from you, in which case we are sad. Or we hear a small bit whenever the authorities allow. which we are also sad about, but not as much.

I'd prefer if you got the brakes fixed, before there is a problem.

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

I bet you say ATM machine too. Leather lederhosen, as could be easily worked out by a non German speaker, is leather leather pants. Once is usually enough.

I'm beginning to wonder about this tunnel, 10 miles ride is a lot for an old boy, and would he have a hot drink after? I'm calling BS on this, though the pic is very compelling.

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

Nice try. But the Leatherman question remains. Which will lead to a further line of questioning, involving crocs.

RE: Just another Sunday

That sounds very dangerous, brakes working on one side but not the other. Normally they're paired front and back.

I'm glad you didn't have an accident..

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

You're not being inhospitable, just a bit green around the gills. Sometimes people post things not necessarily on topic. I understand this may seem confusing, but it happens all the time.

And you didn't deny having a Leatherman, so I'll take it as a yes.

RE: Just another Sunday

My Norwegian friends were telling me how their electric car has to have the brakes deliberately used sometimes to keep them working properly, as normally taking the foot off the accelerator stops it fast enough.

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

The horses run so fast there, because they see what happens to the sheep.

The shape of the planet, and the designated time zones mean that yes, it will be New years there first. Each year. And you also get your Easter eggs a few hours earlier at Easter too. I guess they're selling points.

RE: Another Tunnel, A New Adventure

I think there's 4 or maybe only 3 different time zones here. To make it more confusing, Broken Hill in NSW runs on Adelaide time. Some states have daylight saving, some don't.

You could be forgiven for not knowing, it's not easy.

RE: Profile Photo - A Matter Of Debate

Whether it is or it isn't, I'm not so sure now. It's not easy.

RE: Profile Photo - A Matter Of Debate

I guess I never saw it that way, maybe I was wrong. Whish means it must be.
