Yeah it's nice to have someone to do things with, to cuddle with. Remember you don't need another person to do nice things with and you can cuddle your pet or wrap your arms around yourself, unless you're a t-rex.
Sweet in his intentions but delusional and naive to think his grown children and their families would all live happily ever after under one roof, regardless of the capacity and no matter how well the family get along.
We will never realise our own true value. We can learn to love ourselves and know when someone devalues us or doesn't appreciate our worth, but it's only when we're dead and gone does that true value become known.
