As, for magpies, I was swooped repeatedly, in Canberra, once, (during a visit), as a seven or eight year old lad. No actual damage was done (physically); however I remain psychologically traumatised to this day. During Spring, my subconscious ear, is always listing out for a potentially ominous swoop; although it must be said that I haven't been swooped much (as an adult)...
In about 2030, (or a short time after), it is estimated that the sea, will contain more plastic (by weight), than fish. It doesn't auger well, for the future of our species, now, does it?
