Sorry but you’re wrong about the banks. In approximately 1650, a cloth merchant, Thomas Smith opened the first provincial bank in Nottingham. During 1694 the Bank of England was founded by Charles Montagu, The First Earl of Halifax -not related to the Rothschilds in any way!
“Master has given Dobby a sock”! Lol. Love it, you’re very talented. I read, do sudoku, crosswords etc I also, having no artistic talent whatsoever, do painting by numbers and diamond painting.

How cynical you are. Lots of people perform acts of kindness on a daily basis without even thinking about it. It saddens me that people would think otherwise. Just shows what this world has come to, when people like yourself turn acts of generosity into self serving issues.
Thanks Jenny, I did that but they haven’t got back to me. I have never had it happen in the eight years I’ve been on here. Wondering if the person who messaged me has done it by accident as they’re a bit of a technophobe and don’t really like communicating online.
Don’t know much about Truss but, do you really want a Prime Minister whose wife evaded paying her taxes and still seems to be getting away with it? He’s as dishonest as Boris Johnson in my opinion and the opposition aren’t much better.
Your body needs at least 2litres of water daily to efficiently carry out its processes. If you don’t like it plain, flavour with cucumber, lemon, favourite fruit etc., If consuming at the same time as a meal, Chilled water as well as some cold beverages contract the blood vessels and also restrict digestion. The natural process of absorbing nutrients during digestion is hindered when you consume chilled water, so room temperature beverages are best. Same with tea/coffee, these shouldn’t be drunk within thirty minutes either side of eating. Good luck with your water consumption!
Changing the settings hasn’t worked for me at all. I still get mail from outside my purview. I do tend to reply and have also found it opens the way for more contact, not sure how to resolve it other than to state why you’re not interested, and, having satisfied the bounds of courtesy, ignore the rest that follow.
Cwizzy65, I've been on my own for nearly 25 years and, until recently, have never been lonely. I've always been quite content with my own company. However, I too have found that the older I get, the more I crave someone with whom to share my final years. It is a strange feeling, I'm not sure whether it comes from a place of suddenly being aware of one's own mortality or, from a place of healing from past mistreatments or mistakes.
