Viv Chloroquine has been used for decades with minimal side effects. At the same time, there is a correct way to prescribe it, dosage wise, in use with other medication/vitamins etc. Doctors should be well read up before prescribing it. And it's not going to work on someone who's terminally ill or if used when it's too late and the virus has already done irreversible damage. Common sense dictates this.
Anecdotal evidence has been extremely positive thus far. Initial trialing was mostly very positive too. Now one report comes out, thin on detail, with a negative spin. I want to see more detail. Perhaps it's the natural cynic in me, but a cheap effective solution is a NIGHTMARE for the BIG WIGS in the pharmaceutical industry who live to develop and patent new and extremely expensive drugs/treatment to profit off of. It's their business model. But they also spend a tonne on lobbying and even are deeply involved in 'trials'. So it's absolutely right to be cynical. Money is the root of so much evil.
I was actually thinking Bill Priestap to be the 1st to be indicted. But we'll see. Pientka is a possibility too. Many involved. I wonder who's been talking. The hammer is going to drop soon.
It's a relatively small number of people. But numbers will grow in cases where local government doesn't have a clear plan on how to get things back up and running. People are anxious. Many have lost jobs. Many more are worried they won't have one to back to. Of course a lot of it comes down to the scramble to get PPE and sufficient testing available in order to institute a "new normal"... in terms of re-opening society. This is not a matter of blame. We're living in an unprecedented moment. Supply is struggling to keep up with demand. But plans have to be in place for a common sense re-opening with due respect for the risks posed by the virus.
I still think John Brennan was the one most involved in pushing it all. Using his contacts abroad to try and frame members of the Trump campaign. But i think someone less known will be the 1st to be indicted.
Anything to be said for educating people on how to naturally strengthen their immune systems?
For organisations that claim to care so much about help, it's amazing how little money and effort is spent on this.
Instead it's pills, vaccines, 'quick fixes' that in the big picture actually just weaken the immune system. Big Pharma baby $$$
Of course in some circumstances vaccines are needed. Most understandably for the elderly and people with particularly vulnerable immune systems.
My grievance though is with how little focus is put on health and resilience in general. The cynic in us says this is because there's very little profit in a (at large) fit and healthy populace. And sadly many of our 'leaders' take money off many of the companies that rely in illness to make money, in order to get elected. It's a bad deal.
You've gotta find a balance. A snitching hotline seems way over the top. Reminds me of what I read in the book 1984 where snitches were rewarded for helping enforce the totalitarian fascist government's regime. It's a slippery slope and freedoms are hard won but much easier lost.
"I'm gonna make a deal with this virus. A deal like you've never seen before. The virus won't stand a CHANCE. These viruses have been RIPPING us off. The fakers, in the media, won't report that though."
RE: Illinois
Don't worry. There's plenty to keep you occupiedI've got a game: it's called 'find a CS blog with 30 or more comments without mention of Donald Trump in it'
A difficult task, t'be sure, but I'm sure there's one
