I spent 35 years in sales, about 20 of which was retail and the rest corporate. In retail I was paid commission and one day I showed up for work and there was political signs all over the front of the store. I argued that he was depriving me of the ability to make a commission off the people who may not want to shop there if they didn't support his choice for the election. He grudgingly agreed with me and never did that again.
