I think also it should be taught to kids that gun safety is of the utmost importance and they should be taught that owning a gun is for the protection of their families. Show kids what happens to bad guys who get caught with guns and show them examples of how good guys with guns can diffuse a bad situation.
When there is a lack of comments by others, that tells me that they are generally not interested in that blog and I just let it go. Why beat a dead horse?
In my case I usually don't comment on my blogs unless I'm asked a question, somebody criticizes me, or somebody makes an utterly stupid or inflammatory comment against one of my commenters or myself. I just don't believe in making comments just to bump my blogs to the top.
