RE: Should a "man" feel inadequate?

I'll tell you what women like. Surprisingly long words from a man who can also do plumbing. Not all words being long words of course, that would be monotonous.

RE: Has technology played a role in the dissolution of the traditional family...

Yes. The traditional roles were the way they were because people needed them. We are only individuals now that I need you to be a graphic designer, family was the enterprise but now we have free enterprise in a much larger and complicated structure. It used to be that men were generally good at this, women generally good at that, but now machines do better what we were generally good at therefore we give ground to each individual specialty. Like a graphic designer. We need each individual to be something rather peculiar by comparison to history.

RE: Being Prepared for It

I'm sorry about that my best friend was murdered at 30. 19 stabs wounds going toe to toe with a knife-wielding martial arts expert who had been attacking a young girl. It's been nearly 6 years now since that night and i'm not sure that anything could have prepared me for it.

RE: Don't miss the end of story

Well done. You did the right, if not hallucinatory, thing.

RE: Happy Birthday to ...............lindsyjones

It's been said before and it can be said again - you look 35, too. Happy birthday to you and your age-defying ways

RE: At least, he DID know his name...

Personally I don't like the popular right I think they'll say anything and words don't mean a thing to them. And if only the western world existed they wouldn't be happening but this is not the case. Our winners look like the captain of the titanic, you could call it a winner for being captain but we still all drown. That's the problem we have. The social superiors are completely and entirely unworthy anyway that's why you've got Trump.

RE: At least, he DID know his name...

The problem for you is that Trump is a symptom of a failed establishment not the cause thereof. It was a protest against the proper and the usual leading us to disaster. The disaster was already there to remove the protest against it is not going to make it all alright

RE: At least, he DID know his name...

You know that people won't accept this as a fair trial even if it was. It would be risky even if the establishment was a winner not to mention one that has brought the western world to the brink of eternal night. The proper don't look proper they look like a pretentious waste of space bent on self-annihilation, they look like the last days of Rome. But the thing is this can be true and Trump still be guilty.

RE: Why

And actually that's the best chance a poor husband has. Why does he have less money than his wife? Because he keeps crashing into the sea in a big ball of flames. Crashing in a such a way like a cancer survivor, to have been through such a harrowing experience that you just cannot get upset in the same way. The trivial problems of the day mean nothing because of crashing into the sea in a big ball of flames.

RE: Why

Where with women it's shoot for the moon you'll land amongst the stars. Even if you lose you'll be alright, society has your back. For men it's shoot for the moon and crash into the sea in a big ball of flames. If it goes wrong, it's on you.

RE: Why

Essentially that's what the bad boy is. Those who would have been that one over eight in the days before one over a million. He's an underachieving alpha male as the lion's share of alpha males are in the modern world. It's alpha at the bottom, beta in the middle, super alpha at the top.

RE: Why

And a part of this is a reflection of the big society. Most alphas have been kicked out of the top and replaced by a super alpha like Simon Cowell. And if alphas don't win, they lose they do not come in the middle they are in this sense the opposite of women. What that means is that most men who are mentally tough are at the bottom of society. In smaller more primitive groups this would not be so much the case as there are, relatively speaking, a greater ratio of leaders to followers. You'd have one leader leading eight people rather than one over a million.

RE: Why

It is the genes of men who would win in a state of nature raised by the beta male fathers of civilization. Alphas are normally too incorrigible to actually be a success but they like to put that lack of self-consciousness into the affluence of the beta middle classes.

RE: Why

Well a woman won't have a man who has less power than she does. And in the long-term the power that counts is moneypower. Maybe in the short term they will be with you because you're more confident than she is, a greater power in the social sense, but in the long-term it defaults to moneypower and social status. Exceptions exist but rarely, it's about as rare as woman being with a short man.

RE: American way of life.....

Is excessive but they make the best cartoons

RE: ARE ALL GOOD DEEDS SELFISH?

What if you give reassurance and company rather than taking them, and better yet what if you literally died for your friends? Is it selfish to take 19 stab wounds without even thinking about it? It could be you all over to take 19 stab wounds but I do distinguish being yourself from being selfish

RE: Tip...

I had the opposite happen the other day. They hadn't put the prices up when I felt they should have done, so I gave them £15 anyway. But I think in Britain we have a different understanding of what a tip is. Here it's something you earn like a bonus.

RE: Positive Thoughts

Obviously try not to dwell but let me ask you this. What's going to stop you doing bad things if you don't feel bad? If the only thing that can stop you is the law society turns into a fascist dump.

RE: Honest opinion about money

Margarita

RE: Honest opinion about money

Most people are happy to be secure and I include myself in this. But there are others, the people who want everything and the other way the person who almost prefers a gritty life on the never-never.

As for Marxism your best chance of getting someone to do a terrible job for free is if there was a war on. But who knows maybe one day you could get paid to drink margherita through a plastic straw, and suddenly Marxism makes sense.

RE: Why do young people want old?

That's what I've seen from people watching anyway. What I also remember from being 19 is doing all sorts of things to say that I'd done them. That could easily include an older woman. The folly of youth. I wasn't looking for someone to take care of me it was a different type of irresponsibility.

RE: Are you exploited today at work, at home, at church, in the gym or by friends?

Hence the problem with diversity. Diversity is fine when we rich and scattered individuals but becomes a problem in times of trouble when people try to have deep relationships with other people. Teamwork will lead to civil war this land not being big enough for the both of us.

RE: Are you exploited today at work, at home, at church, in the gym or by friends?

Yetnif being poorer does not lead to socialism as we define it today it does lead to pooling resources, greater trust in your friends and family altruism with your kin is exactly the product of hard times.

RE: Impressed

Impressive even if that star trek future is admittedly fading from view. To appreciate Tik Tok you have to ignore almost all of it. If only more people lived vicariously in space which maybe they will as life on earth becomes a monstrous tyranny.

RE: Impersonating a president...

I don't know if it's the 50 years of neglecting politics or the end to 500 years of western dominance a time that represents the greatest failure history has ever known. Rome didn't fall from such height and people are gonna fill that fall with a big personality - with or without knowing what's been done to then.

RE: Recession is here

And we need to teach the left the difference between wealth inequality and income inequality. The new rich are actually quite talented in contrast to the old rich casserole of nonsense. Elon Musk is far better than Bill Gates and his harder life, this harsher season, is the reason for that. It's not high earners who are the enemy but those whose advantages meant they could get very far whilst actually being quite bad. It is that luck, advantage and power accumulate in people who are not actually any good.

RE: Recession is here

The big difference to 2007 is that China is making its and move and we've already had the stimulus. In 2007 a lot of money was printed without triggering inflation because it was based on sweated labour in the totalitarian east. But China is making its move and we now face the unenviable task of equipping the west in place of sweating the east. Nothing really changed after 2007 apart from whipping a dead horse in a slow decline of the old order.

RE: Yep, never seen this exorbitant price of fuel during Trump's time

Renewables will be easier than firing every last drop of oil out of the ground. There's always going to be some oil down there but eventually you'll ask why would you

RE: The price of gas has dropped sharply. SOME PLACES HAVE DROPPED MORE THAN A DOLLAR A GALLON...

£1.95 per litre of diesel today that I believe could have been £1.70 and I expect to settle at around £1.60. About 20% more than before the pandemic reflecting the 20% fall in living standards. Apart from medicine and weapons we gave away too much in globalization and we will wish we hadn't turned so much of the land into urban decay - both the rust belt and the make-up brand whose fates are inversely correlated. We'll wish that we hadn't spent a million thousand hours in make-up.

RE: Online Dating Safety Tips

Even that you're a woman doesn't excuse being this infantilised. In cyberspace women qualify as a proper grown up because you're equal to men when there's nothing physical involved. There's no reason to avoid people like you were 6 and everyone you've ever known was at one time a stranger. You've gotta give people the benefit of the doubt not to the point of meeting up with them in a poorly lit area but I don't know how the world would work without two strangers becoming friends.
