RE: Online Dating Safety Tips

Don't talk to strangers doesn't leave us with many options. Or any options really. Everybody is a stranger and as strange a stranger that a stranger has ever been. At no point in human history has it been possible to know someone less than we do today.

Anyway I can assure you that I have benign reasons for my lack of profile picture. I have a girlfriend and we are in a monogamous relationship. And also because of fascism. Nobody likes anybody anymore, everybody is suspicious, China taking over the world I reckon this industrial revolution we are living through can only ever be a crime against humanity. It'll be that we hate our fellow man so much that we support the authorities no matter how abusive and incompetent they are.

RE: Yep, never seen this exorbitant price of fuel during Trump's time

Inflation won't last forever we'll level off with living standards 20% lower than 2019. Obviously we do want inflation to end but that's not a triumph.

RE: The price of gas has dropped sharply. SOME PLACES HAVE DROPPED MORE THAN A DOLLAR A GALLON...

There's a myriad of reasons from the war of Ukraine to people trying to shop more than they've worked. Companies hoarding profits because of uncertainty. To differing extents they stem from switching off the world to try and switch it back on again like an iPhone. What they've done is too disjointed even for a modern world that is in many ways a nerd spaz. You still need people able to do things it can't all be mongoloids on autopilot.

RE: Yep, never seen this exorbitant price of fuel during Trump's time

Well I'd deregulate arguing that green energy is now more than capable of competing against fossil fuels on its own.

Scratch the surface tho and we are looking at the downfall of global capitalism and an end to China exporting deflation for over 30 years. To someone who regards this as inevitable I would prefer it to happen now than ten years from now. Would have preferred this after 2008 to be honest but we can't go back in time. At any rate it's better to stop the quislings now than in another ten years when people in the west are a decade more silly and China a decade more fascist. They've been lulling us into complacency for years better to not give them more years.

RE: 69 year old cancer patient granny begins 2 month jail sentence

In troubled times you might do things like show mercy or judge each case on its merits, but it isn't usual. The only justice is to doubt the system.

RE: the pink tax

I'd wager that far fewer women have destroyed their home or ruined themselves purchasing a ridiculous car. It's just the different things men and women are vain about which admittedly are sort of converging in the west. Men who care about having a smooth body which I can only see as a negative development, but then never even attempt the DIY which is a blessing.

RE: the pink tax

Vanity is bottomless and I think it is the cross between physical beauty and metoo driving up prices. To lower prices the group would need more members willing to not look good in more ways than one. You don't want to haggle all the time but yes a consumer willing to be disagreeable.

RE: DOES AMERICA WANT TRUMP BACK?

It's not Jimmy Carter is it. That's what's known as despiriting truthfulness that's taken us over 40 years to appreciate.

RE: DOES AMERICA WANT TRUMP BACK?

Big personalities are usually marmite. And the people who don't like marmite are the people who know it best. For the rest it's the power this personality has to spur them on to whatever end, for the purposes of confidence, loyalty and fanaticism the less you know the better.

RE: Down Go Democrats: Ex Philadelphia Rep. Sentenced to 3 years in Jail for Bribery and Ballot Stuffing

You probably don't meet many people different to you are. A lot of leftists are the same, hardly meet anyone pro-trump.

RE: How To Love Your Enemies

I can't love them but I can try not to take it personally. The torturers were just following orders.

RE: Too heck with a recession, we need a depresion!

People are a lot more hard workong than they used to be but its what they actually do and the way they spend their money that's at it issue. We do need depression first and foremost to collapse the property market destroy the land barons and give youth a chance to spend their money on something other than video games and inflated house prices. There are too many parasitic rent-seekers creaming off posterity's ability to make investments.

RE: Roe v Wade overturned

And if nothing else our infantilised world discriminates against intelligent people and the working class. Two groups that if not for the same reason know things sooner rather than later. For rich kids and fools comes the idea that you're barely a boy at 28. But this is wrong. And just how wrong is becoming very much apparent

RE: Roe v Wade overturned

And I realize this has still something to do with men versus women, wanting women to have fewer options because they won't go near you otherwise, but really it's actually quite serious. I mean we are in debt massively and we are ridiculously old there's just no way it can carry on the way it was.

Now I'm a bit of an unusual progressive that thinks for the future to happen babies need to be born and the old need to die. Society will ultimately stand completely still if it's the same generation existing forever. This is the real reason why we have no alternative, the fact that no one is new

RE: If the Bible is correct...

Yes they can be that gullible because the facts are much stranger than fiction. Nothing dreamed up by religion comes close to black holes or the octopus here on the earth we wouldn't have the imagination for the facts. I'd take the bit from bible where it says god is incomprehensible and leave it at that. End of story. To say humanity is gullible is a bit unfair under the circumstances, I mean who could have guessed correctly the majesty of creation?

RE: Ladies

The problem is a police only to be found when you don't need it, nowhere to be found when you do. As though they were love or hate one of these things that always come in just when you don't need it. If we could take the emotion out of it we could have a police fit for purpose, a police that comes in when you need them just get the map out have a look at the demographics, think about it for a minute. Wouldn't we like this? And what's the alternative? Shining a luminous bat symbol into the sky?

RE: Ladies

We have a surplus of police in the sleepy areas where the old and frightened like the police as some sort of security blanket. The police are only popular amongst these people who neither actually use nor know the police. They're just there to create an imagined sense of order like in Japans police nobody comes to any less harm for them being there it's just a need for something to fear than any immediate and present danger. But then in the city the total opposite is the case. You're left with no protection, absolutely nothing in a context of real danger.

RE: Ladies

Do do the social work and the drugs rehab but don't pay for it by taking police away from the worst areas of society. Pay for it by rationalisation, pay for it by firing the police you don't need who don't do anything of value. Swathes of the west are becoming like a retirement home and in that context the police are if anything the worst example of public sector jobsworth.

RE: predator......

So much for me sounding like the last liberal democrat of the 21st century. But in its heyday what I'm saying was mainstream western thought even if this clashes with today's modernity is over call the cops. All power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely - this is honestly how we used to think in the west until the turn of the century.

RE: predator......

And that's idea of western checks and balances. It's because we know the authorities are dangerous disturbed people so we make it in the self-interest of one psychopath to check against another. If the law works any better in the west it is exclusively for this reason but the individuals involved are the same wooden, joyless predators they are anywhere.

RE: predator......

Admittedly the law works better in some lands than others but the point is that the people involved are no better than Russia. They'd do the same job in Russia and if the police got it all their way every state would be a police state - it is their deep instinct.

RE: predator......

Particularly factor 1 psychopathy where you're simply born an enemy of the human race.

Soldiers are a little more factor 2 psychopath where life has rendered you all messed up. What's also known as the sociopath. Soldiers are more like the people who end up in prison because they're not smart enough and they're too upset to do things the way factor 1 can. The judge is likely a factor 1 psychopath and the accused factor 2.

RE: predator......

Police officers, politicians, judges and to a lesser extent soldiers. Soldiers can die in battle so they're not completely selfish. Its anybody who goes for the power for the sake of the power. So not like Steve Jobs who had power because he wanted to create quality products. It's not being the boss per se it's when the boss is the boss for no other reason than to be the boss. Power contending nothing but power.

RE: New word: shrinkflation...

You need to know everything by price per 100g/ml. It's the only way to be sure. But I'm not sure how much longer they can carry on. Everybody know about inflation now, it would be simpler to raise prices.

RE: Is it true the Dutch government wants to shut down farms in hopes of preventing more global warming?

Either way leads to less food which is why we'll eat what's been grown in a lab - and consider ourselves lucky, lucky not to be part of the billion who starve from not having the technology or the organization to run a lab. We used to eat wild animals and berries which was the best for us, and then we did farming which was the first instance of unnatural, and now we have to become even more manmade than farming. But do remember that agriculture isn't actually nature, it's technology.

The only alternative is a massive war that brings us down to about a billion people living in the world. And then we could all go organic - which isn't actually organic as in natural, just less technology.

RE: GOOD GIRLS LOVE BAD GUYS

They like dangerous men to talk about peace and love like rappers from the ghetto and they don't want to hear about a good man's mentoring and community work. For better or worse the truth is a surprise

RE: What is it about…DEATH?

It's scary but then probably for the best. What's the alternative? The same people alive forever doing the same thing over and over again. What kind of a life would that be?

RE: Money at work - love this story

Let's face it things were so much easier before and in that time losers were the bottom 20% of the gene pool. But as times become more like the 1930s only the top 20% of the gene pool win. This changes everything.

RE: Money at work - love this story

Charity is bad for people who don't need it but I think more people need it than they did say 30 years ago. Times so easy that any fool could own their own home, jobs for life for Mr no talents that whole baby boomer generation of the most privileged people ever to have lived. If you needed more help on top of that privilege you probably were a parasite.

RE: FRIENDSHIP

There's nothing like the friends from childhood particularly when that old friend takes 19 stab wounds going toe to toe with a knife-wielding martial arts expert in the midst of a psychotic episode - to save a friend. A lot of things make a friendship but nothing beats dying like Jesus and going on to tell everyone you can what a beautiful man they were.
