RE: How modern life is making men infertile.

We are temporarily overpopulated because conservative people have been equipped with the latest technology. We have traditional fast-breeders doing a very modern thing which is to die old.

However, they will eventually become sterile eventually become modern. Fertility is a hangover from tradition caused by the modern world happening incredibly fast. Long-term you're still looking at aging population, the dearth of children, and the inevitable death. The earth will become somewhat empty this century if things continue as they are. We will regret forcing us to become even older than we already are. The great dying will come over the next 20, 30 years with no new life to replace it.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

The liberal is the Nietzschean superman beyond life and death. It means that so much is old and little is new. Liberalism is fine until you run out of other people's lifeforce.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

What conservatives lose by death liberals lose by a salted earth. By non-life and by sterility you cannot replenish.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

16 days since omicron began to spike in this country and the death rate is still going down.

As for you lot, you're going to need a better plan than hoping your opponents die off.

RE: Gift giving this holiday season...

Uncle Cash sounds good. Just give her $30 and call it a victory for logic.

RE: Japan shows the way when it comes to policy surrounding the jab

Japan is a strangely old fashioned space age kind of place which, despite of all it's advances, doesn't really have rich man's diseases. It's the land of star ships and austerity where even now inflation is not a problem. Even now it does more work than it does shopping.

RE: How effective really is a mask?

There's a time and place for slowing the spread and it's called omicron. Do prolong the pandemic in it's blitzkrieg phase.

RE: The immutable basic nature can be changed.

I probably believe that human history started out intelligent and timid. What do we have compared to the other animals? Brains. But now we live in society most of our anger is a habit caused by our proximity to other people, like road rage.

You're significantly less likely to end up in hospital or die with the omicron. At least according to South Africa.

But that's South Africa where they are men. They've been through so much more than we have. That could be why.

RE: cannabis

Id like to see it legalised only for pensioners. You've had your life already and need to make dying less painful. Fair enough. But marijuana is the death knell to ambition, hope, promise anyway you could say that life lies ahead in the future. If we could make coming to terms with your own death the main purpose of marijuana.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

If it's half as severe as delta then you can afford to have twice as many infections.

Probably more than that because the trouble will only last half as long. If twice as many are infected it'll be over in half the time.

RE: Are Democrats really Zombies ?

The liberals are just as much the flag-waving morons that conservatives were, but the flag is a rainbow. Now that rainbow is a much more accurate depiction of today's powerful and today's conventional than the national flag is.

RE: New Zealand to ban smoking

Marijuana is a lovely sedative that makes you feel like you're not really there. It goes much better with isolation and being mentally ill, living in Zuckerberg's Meta.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

There'll not be a casual anything basically. As you were saying to Mic the other day. He's just as responsible for his words as those in power even though those in power have an army of lawyers. Just as, if not more strict on the little guy who has no means to defend himself. With great power comes great responsibility? Naa

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

Puts to bed the idea that China is workers state. The covid zero. A policy that no worker who understands his class interests could possibly want.

China is not communist, it's fascist. Making the workers care and behave like the rich. One day you'll need a degree to engage in casual conversation.

Looking more and more like season 2 everyday. Starting to beg the question, why don't we go to these lengths to dodge flu every year? Not that I want to give the bourgeoisie any ideas. Please don't make us start dodging flu, keep that hypochondria to yourselves

An abundance of guns set a higher bar for mature behaviour. But unfortunately Americans are the cutting edge of an infantilised world. You'd be better off with Chinese kids who can play video games for a maximum one hour a week.

RE: Fact not fiction.

Now I'm not going to call the vaccinated stupid because for older people I think it's worth the risk. It's youth that should not be vaccinated and the working age who should stop at 1 dose.

RE: Fact not fiction.

Don't let the melodrama of Bob and Boh discredit the fact that science is supposed to behave very cautiously. Any less than this requires a patient to be in imminent danger. More like a 1 in 10000 chance that they'd live, not a 1 in 10000 chance that they would die.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

If it turns out that we should welcome these mutations like I do, then it puts me right off a vaccine. Just a coincidence that it comes from a place of normal human beings? Maybe these mutations require a natural immune response, more of a pitched battle than the vaccine swooping in like special forces.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

Although I hope that I'm right about this. In Africa we have a preserve of normal human beings and this minority of normal human beings will be the way that covid settles into the human species. They'll be the stepping stone between covid and the abnormal humanity that lives outside of Africa. Covid started as a rich man's disease but will blend seamlessly into humanity through the medium of normal human beings.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

And it would certainly fit that capitalist way where the greater good is served by mistake. It's not the design of the unvaccinated to pacify covid, it's achieved without even thinking about it. By the invisible hand covid is pacified. Capitalism works because one man or group of men cannot know everything but if you leave it to fate or to gods will or to whatever you want to call that third element that is neither you nor I, then you'll have the balance of the world.

RE: Omicron variant appears to be ‘super mild‘ mutation with Covid death rate not jumping

If it is milder then we all need to thank the unvaccinated. I've said it before and I'll say again, they're the ones turning covid into something we can all live with naturally. Not that I mind waiting a couple of weeks to make sure.

RE: i've noticed something strange about youtube

Something mental health. Down votes might lower somebody's self-esteem, heaven forfend

RE: If Covid is going to be around for a long time...

Building more hospitals would come with staffing issues but perhaps that's what a war effort should look like. Throwing money at healthcare would have been much cheaper than lockdown, to have factories repurposed rather than stand idle for months in lockdown, doctors and nurses naming their wages cheaper than lockdown.

RE: Antivaccine activists use a government database (VAERS) on side effects to scare the public,

Any face covering does reduce the spread but I'd always wear the surgical masks because they wear them in surgery. They don't put a scarf over their face in surgery. Under the exceptional circumstances where you must wear one, wear the right one.
