It is Memorial Day weekend here and the celebrations are going to be going on all weekend especially near any bodies of water. I bet there is a virus spike following.
Let's see if I can unconfuse it a bit. Dad is in a nursing rehab home with Hospice going to see him once a week now. The nursing home stays closed to us but Dad is in a room with a window. My daughter tried to go see my Dad in the beginning of lockdown through the window to just look but she got run off the grounds.
So this time she called the home, explained it was her Nana's B-day and could they go to the window in Dad's room just to look at him. The home said yes.
That night over dinner Mom told us all about it, siblings and I did not know my daughter had done that earlier in the day until we dined. It made for wonderful dinner conversation to know how happy my daughter made my Mom.
I'm so happy you are pleased. I fell into a trap of calling all digital pressure cookers an Instapot (sort of like tissues being Kleenix)
Oh yeah beans are amazing pressure cooked. I see a lot of people make cheese cakes too but I haven't yet although I did make yogurt. Loved it. When the kids were young there was only stove top pressure cookers and I would never consider taking a chance so never used one. The electric one I'm not the least bit scared. Sure would have made cooking for a family a lot easier if I knew this when I had a home full of hungry mouths.
Making bone broth used to take me two days but now only four hours. So healthy and tasty.
I love spaghetti squash but I can't prounounce it. Where do you come up with this? The video not requiring the space of the trees went to a choice of videos but nothing mention home grown pasta
I've actually been having sneezeing fits lately and I think to myself I would probably get shot at the grocery store (here in Florida you know) if I have a sneeze outside.
LOL - me trying to be a smartass backfired if pasta really grows on trees, I had no clue but that video looked real. I thought fresh pasta was flour and water you made at home. I may have to google this.
I used to plant Marigolds to repel insect from tomatoes, guess I should buy a couple more.
I'm not a gardener so no clue what will happen. No San Marzano tomatoes, I know one is a cherry tomato plant and can't tell what the other one will be but it will be 2nd generation.
Nope I don't know how to make that pizza probably because I don't eat pizza except maybe once a year. I have made a mariner sauce a couple of times.
The monthly community dinners (every one brings a dish) stopped with the virus. I hope they start back up. I miss everyone. Some of us only get to see other when we walk around or they pass when I'm in the yard.
I have Norton for security - and only log into zoom on Saturday mornings. But I still really miss going to the meetings live. I'm not being very good without them.
If something happens to a lot of us here, they just disappear and no one would ever know. I did meet someone on here so I might mention to him if covid gets me - let you all know.
I love dogs and am very pro to the pit bull which is a wonderful dog, however with a mean owner the dog can be vicious. When a pit attacks, the owner should be put down along with the dog. So simple.
Chat is wear a mask a must in Dade County or is that a whole FL thing? Do we have to have the masks on in our cars, like when I go from my house to Mom's?
The Bible is just a history book among many history books. How can anyone believe in just one book without reading all the others? I just don't get it.
RE: Social Distancing Made Easy
I think the mask is brilliant. I would love one for the 3 pound Chi.
