RE: San Francisco Walgreens Introduces New Frequent Looter Rewards Punch Card

This is Nancy Pelosi's constituency. What do you expect?

RE: CDC Director Acknowledges "Overwhelming Majority Of Covid Deaths - Over 75% ...

Chesney, they always were. Check out the infection and death rate for the seasonal flus. It's been extremely low. Covid has nearly eliminated their niche. That constitutes proof Covid is just a very bad flu; period.

RE: BREAKING || NEW COVID VARIANT DETECTED IN FRANCE!!

This whole thing would be a joke if it weren't that so many people believe it. "The omicron variant" is probably the original bug that mutated at Wuhan. It's the reason Chinese deaths fare so few.

RE: Most Deaths During The Spanish Flu Were Due To Bacterial Pneumonia

Nobody mentions the incredibly low death count in China. I would say the CDC pronouncement about no natural immunity was absurd. I have wondered if I'm immune since my 15 months on Taiwan. (I did also get the shots. Don't want to jeopardize my ever so frequent trips to the dentist.)

RE: Art of War

I think you have a misconception. Lao Tzu's Art of War has made it into business practices sadly. It's about disinformation (lying) basically. I see no way that can lead to a good relationship--though I can see that it's led to many very high profile bad relationships and the current divorce rate. Good luck.

RE: Biden Now Has a Lower Approval Rating Than Every Governor in the US Dips under 30% In 17 States

I got impatient with the quote. I could not find out what the second number on each figure meant:
Wyoming: 23-72. What is 72?
I am happy to think the average American has come to a reasonable conclusion about Bidden, but I'm afraid this kind of data doesn't help.

RE: Will the Carter Year’s Inflation rate return anytime soon in the USA.

Inflation is a tax. It's a tax only on those who don't own property (they prosper). Some of it is used for the poor--roll the presses. Only the middle class, upper, middle, and lower parts thereof, are hurt. So it's the top and the bottom against the middle--something the "popular" kings used to like to do.

Taxes rarely get repealed, galrads, especially one so well hidden.

RE: Abbott And Costello on vaccinations

China has 4,636 dead from Covid as of today. The quit vaccinating at 1 mil of their 1.5 bil. Why is the Media ignoring this? Because WHO and the CDC said there was no natural immunity back at the beginning of this farce.
I am not accusing the Chinese of anything. The mutant version broke out because Wuhan was host to a bunch of wimpy Western academics at the time. They served as a place for the virus to build and infect the local Chinese. Then they brought it home. Not exactly a story the Media wants out.
This is the 100 Years Flu like the Hundred Years Flood that hit St. Louis in '93. Yes it's big, but it's not worth destroying the economy over.

RE: I've Not Seen Merc Here Lately - (aka "A Prior Chatting Blog")

Mercedes said, "Why aren't you concerned about miles & miles long ques all over America lining up at food banks to be bloody fed?"
If I have to wait behind a single person, to get in a store here, I would be very surprised. I think there was a short time when there were short lines in the Midwest. That was because of the media and government.

RE: Pelosi spars with Blitzer about Covid-19 aid. Tells him he doesn't know what he's talking about

A dying party soon becomes composed only of its extremists. What they say reflects this until they are shut up forever.

RE: Scientific American

Academics don't speak science; their language is publish or perish.

RE: Fake News Won't Tell You: Trump's Favorable Rating Is HIGHER Than Obama's Before He Was Reelected

All polls are meaningless. There is a large plurality of people who refuse to talk to surveys, would like to see them added to do-not-call, and vote for Trump. Happened last time. Your statistics are useless, R&R.

RE: President Donald John Trump: First President In 40 Years Not To Get U.S. Into Any New Wars

The Democrats always get us into wars, usually by being cowards. Only two "Republican" presidents did that: Lincoln was most noticeable; after him the Grand Army of the Replublic took the party as its own. Then there was George Bush, Jr.--very junior. The Democrats get major credit for both world wars, Korea, and Vietnam.

RE: I Keep Hearing "Follow the science" From The Democrats, But They Seem To Be Very Selective

I wonder how many people died from not getting "optional" procedures like chemo and related tests.

There's also the problem of "science" based on guestimates. Consider the guy that started the WHO response, Neil Feruson. Do we have two million dead in the U.S. yet?

RE: How many thoughts are in your head daily ...?

Pedro, no count possible. Thoughts come up from the subconscious, some are only half-seen, which are "in my mind?" I know a young lady who has trouble controlling what comes up. She say ludicrous things and laughs at jokes which aren't funny and she sometimes does have the sense not to say outloud. ADHD. The question is do you really know what is in your mind?

RE: Shopping Carts

I think you overlooked a possibility. Some people believe setting the carts off to the side is good enough. They ignore the fact they will be blown where you found the one and even blown into other cars scratching the paint. That level of carelessness is rather common.

RE: Last U.S. Civil War Pensioner Dead At 90.

At the time of the Civil War a woman was an old maid if not married by 20. Mores have changed to accomodate the rising requirement for education. The important thing to note is that it's still the old way in much of the world. We often see the outraged stories about 15-year-old brides, but you should really check when your great grandmother got married before you agree.

RE: 600+ Doctors Sign Letter Backing President Trump's Demand For Democrats To Stop The Shutdown!!!

Conrad, it's not the government; it's the "fourth estate" as the French say, the fourth branch of government, which is the Media--unelected a very mercenary. They love academia, which is also left wing and ignore things like the dire predictions of Fauci and Birx didn't actually happen.

RE: Protesters crash governor's coronavirus briefing.

Hubei is reopening. But no where near 100% of the people have had it. Do you remember your experts said there was no immunity? Your experts have caused a panic, one of the many things they were supposed to prevent. When this is over someone will do an antibody test on a sample population and find out nearly 100% have the specific antibody. If they then have any sense they'll look around to find the general antibody that stopped it for the rest.
The CDC isn't doctors, at least in the U.S. They are "health specialists." Academics out to prove their next paper and failing miserably while disrupting the world economy massively. Our political leaders are not at fault, the Media, who always support academics, cannot be opposed--yet.

RE: Quarantine Day 2!

Look up the malarial drug Chloroquine taken with Azithromycin. Lots on the net about it.

RE: This site is useless

I suspect what you wanted was a chat site. Here there is only email-like messages (not instant messaging) and blogs/forums (no real-time response/instant messaging).

RE: More science?.....

A fast heart rate can make you feel anxious. Had that for a while. And it's no surprise; the expression "my heart was beating faster" has long been a description of immediate concern.
And depression can result from being sick or vice versa. The mind lives in the body. Again no surprise.

RE: REPORT: Impeachment Is Driving 1,000 Republican Candidates To Run For House Seats This Year

It's about time, Frontnine. The Democrats have only kept themselves going by legalizing 2 million plus illegals, who then think they owe them something. The Bosnians who come here seem to get over that more quickly.

RE: Helipad...

Flying a simple helicopter is a full time job, but they do magnificent things. Landing on the beach of a California river between the trees is an experience.
I got a rotorcraft license on top of my fixed wing one in the late 70s. Problem is that, though there were no restrictions on my commercial license, I couldn't take up passengers (even not for hire) because of the rental companies' insurance companies. There were so many pilots back from 'Nam, they put a restriction of 2000 hours rotorcraft flying time. Haven't flown a chopper since. Flying alone isn't that much fun and I would choose a fixed wing for going places.

RE: "Like" by a deleted profile ...

Yes, it's quite good that they delete the profiles. Why not also delete the Likes? After the profile is gone, there's no information in the Likes anyway.

RE: Too Much / Too Little - Water

Tell me again how much higher the water is in New York harbor.

I assume you are aware that while ice is melting on the shores of Antarctica; but unaware that the interior snow mass has increased due to snow fall more than what is being lost at the edge.

Weather patterns have changed and that always affects drinking water. We do things about it. For instance, Los Angeles ought to be a desert.

RE: Puzzled!

If you are messaging accounts with little info and perhaps a beautiful single picture, you may well be hitting the bogus accounts of the spammers who send emails with outside email address, phone numbers, etc., and do not want replies on this site. I'm sure they're not set up to reply to enquiries of any kind. They usually do not respond to messages sent on here in reply to their own.

RE: Shoulda, Kudda, Wooda

There are few that use its for it is; but there are many who use it's for the possessive. "I found its cause" is correct. It's an amazing bit of nonsense in the English language--and this time we can't even blame it on the French like I do most of the spelling irregularities. :-)

RE: Why Not Let American People Decide Who Should Be President Instead Of Democrat Impeach

How many of Hillary's votes were the two million illegals the Democrats got leaglized? I've always liked Mexicans, but having family waiting across the border has to affect their vote. And some of the other immigrant groups are affected, too.

RE: He created in his own image.

But, usha, I said free will is real. Our perception of it is false. Centrifugal force (now misnamed centripetal force) is real, too--ever been thrown off a merry-go-round?
