Hooha I haven't read anything Fargo has said nice about anyone. Narcissistic personality disorder comes to mind. I try to overlook those kind of people... they have their own demons to deal with.
I don't believe in religious support systems. That's when Christianity turns into a business...brain washing .. drink the Kool aid type groups. You can be by yourself on an island without any support system and be a Christian. Education has nothing to do with it. I don't even know where you get that idea, some very intelligent people are proud Christians.
I'm not Catholic so I'm not sure about this statement, it could possibly be true. I do not appreciate you calling my whole life experience BS. I'm human and you are human...please take that into consideration when you start throwing the BS around. You are thinking with a human brain, as I am as well, consider that also. There may be flaws in mine and your theories. Please don't be close minded, I try not to be.
I identified with so many of the things that Ingersoll spoke about. I still have not completely read the old testament... it sickens me. The love and kindness of Jesus is the only thing that got me on my knees. Then the one who is pure love gets brutely killed. For years I couldn't think about any of it, none of it made sense. But I continued to pray and sometimes God would answer my prayers immediately and that kept me interested. Then about 25 years ago I got mad not so much at God but at the doctrine of the church I was going to... I walked out never to go back and I was furious... saying none of it was even important. Then the next day he shows me a miracle... he fills me with his spirit and blows my mind and then he laughs, he has a sense of humor. So I know he's just a breath away. I hope when Ingersoll passed that he got his answers. The only thing I can say is I have a lot of questions and I know they will be answered by a all knowing God. A God who's thoughts and ideas are nothing like mine.. probably why he laughed.
Hans, my poem was in reference to Bob's comment... not your blog topic. I answered that a couple pages ago. Why would you use a question for a blog? Your profile says you are spiritual but not religious... Who do you think made God? Being spiritual you probably have a spiritual answer. My Native American ancestors, calls God the Great Spirit. They never had Bibles to teach them anything.

Sept 9 was when my daughter was born..20 min after I got to the hospital. She was a tiny 4 lbs and moving fast. She came early and has always been one for surprises.

God has no gender, but when people say Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father and Son part sounds to be male. Some think the Holy Spirit is female... I have heard the voice of the Holy Spirit.. it sounded deep and masculine.
Who made God? I see that was the question. No one made God he is eternal...he was not made so is not subject to the laws that science discovered...it was God who made the universe and it's laws. The universe was created.. God was not.
