Is COVID on the rise...

I would like to agree... BUT, I believe variants of COVID are still around. People are self-testing for COVID and getting positive results.

Are the tests specific to COVID or will 'common flu' yield the same result?
Don't know.

Let's say the health department(s) had everyone who suspected COVID go to a clinic for testing, their data would be more accurate than if a high percent of the people affected did their own tests.

My thought:
The variants aren't nearly a strong as 2 or 3 years ago and (like the flu) people aren't taking precautions.

Is COVID on the rise...

I don't recall following MSN for health reports.
People in my circle were directly affected.
The information about the Palm Beach sewage testing came from a local newspaper and picked up by Yahoo!

Link:

I don't necessarily disbelieve them and other than my own safety, I'll consider masks when around large groups of people, especially tourists.

Cooler with miserable with rain and wind all day.

Probably 24C outside now.

Bison Burger...

30 years ago, I worked for a company that had a 'sub shop' nearby and went to lunch with the boss one day. The largest sandwich on the menu was called 'The Bomb' and available in chicken or beef. He ordered a chicken bomb with everything on it, a large cup of 'curly fries' and a large coke.
My guess was his lunch exceeded 5,000 unhealthy calories... and I asked if he planned to eat that in one sitting. He thought for a moment and modified his order.
"Uh... make that diet Coke"

Bison Burger...

Exactly !!

Bison Burger...

??? ?? ?????? ???? ??? ????

Bison Burger...

That explains why some forum threads are filled with question marks.
The people making the posts are typing in their native language and don't know it's English only.

Bison Burger...

Yes, I remember the name...

Bison Burger...

Yeah, with all the toppings... I could go for a 'thinner version' of burger!

Bison Burger...

Didn't George Washington say that?

Bison Burger...

Because it broke apart when I cooked it, I'll probably add a binder, maybe an egg with some Italian style bread crumbs.

thumbs up

Bison Burger...

I can safely say the burger I ate looked NOTHING like the one in the photo.
If it did, I'd need to have my cardiologist's number on speed dial!

Voting and voting by mail...

Mail-in voter registration is still legal in the United States.

Voting and voting by mail...

We're allowed to vote however we choose. Some research the candidates and some vote strictly by party.

I have had a friend who was a military veteran, unable to work, on disability, not old enough to collect social security, was willing to vote for someone in his state who vowed to reduce funding for retirement benefits. When I explained what his future could be like, he didn't care as he was supporting his party lines.

It's a moot point now... my friend died.

Condo insurance increases...

The reality is... realtors have inside information with banks and mortgage companies so properties are scooped up the day they hit the market.

The realtor I worked with said they already know before hand and legally, the properties have to be listed, but savvy buyers have already secured deals the moment they go up on a foreclosure list.

Cool Christmas gift...

Luke, follow along... there is no part of friendship between Loh_key and me.
For a few years now, he's been trolling my blogs making stupid comments.

I used to think that comedian Don Rickles hired hecklers as part of his Las Vegas shows.
This isn't Vegas, but I've got my own personal CS heckler.

Cool Christmas gift...

Kal, it runs a pattern of characters in black ink across the documents making them unreadable. The website states (unlike shredded documents) they can be recycled. I'm not sure why shredded documents couldn't be recycled.

Cool Christmas gift...

Are you asking for a friend?

Cool Christmas gift...

Wow... that works better than expected!

Ethnicity: Native American

Dictionaries vary, but I've found that 'Native American' refers to the Indigenous peoples of the Americas... They inhabited the Americas before the arrival of European settlers in the 15th century.

Thanks to Columbus who thought he reached India, called them Indians.

I was told that the US government relocated many African slaves to Indian reservations. That created mixed blood African Americans, many of which who can prove their lineage are entitled the same reparations as the Native Americans.
