The AMAZON addiction...

A single row with more than 50 needles for flat work, it looked a little like the photo:

The AMAZON addiction...

If you really had an interest, I'm sure you could find a community service that would offer knitting classes.

I remember my mom knitted wool hats and sweaters!

This dates back 60 years ago and she bought a used knitting machine. It was 5 feet long and had legs or could be placed on a table. Fully manual, didn't need electric power.
It must have been too complicated to make anything useful and my dad put it in the attic crawlspace. 30 years later when I replaced the roof, the machine was there but rusted and unusable. I'm not sure what happened to it after, possibly a friend of my mother donated it to her church group.

The AMAZON addiction...

My mother had several boxes of crochet and knitted goods packed away in a storage closet. Some things were more than 50 years old and discolored. When I sold my house, I did a yard sale and a Haitian woman who bought some pots and pans was absolutely delighted to see all the handcraft my mother made. My original plan was to donate the goods to a local charity collection center, but the smile on that woman's face was enough to confirm she would be a happy recipient.

My mother had a seamstress business and sold hand made booties she knitted in the evenings after a day of work.

A good Christian...

Interesting choice of words.
Years ago I want a few rounds with member dongg who was part of the conservative effort on another blog site and here with the same thought pattern. I think he left because he wasn't getting any love from the other members.
Probably a great guy in real life.
Because I choose to ignore a topic or two (dozen) doesn't qualify me as being ignorant.
My life is in order and I'm enjoying many benefits available to me. I gather some here are bothered by that and talk shit about me in their blogs. It's okay... that doesn't shake me.

Regarding politics on CS, I do find it interesting of the 'hive mind' Conservatives have. There is nothing happening in the real world that will change your political orientation, I don't expect it will change here.
I blogged about loyalty and how the Trump supporters feel strongly that nothing can touch him. Nothing. He can do no wrong in their eyes. Trump has been crying fake news, rigged election and witch hunt for years. Knowing there would be mail-in ballot counting for days, he was claiming he won the election before nightfall.

Unlike you, I really don't care about Joe, Hunter, Ukraine and lots of other things.

Reference the Star Trek episode about the Borg. They all share the same information. If one believes a lie, they all believe it to be true... sharing the same thought.

On an upbeat note...
The topic of this blog is A good Christian. 'Biden' is really off topic and my suggestion is you should do your own blog about him, his son and democrats in general.
Political blogs on CS often get lots of activity.

Now, if you'll excuse me. I need to get back to my opera studies.

Please don't cry...

Mike Pence is a despicable turncoat.

Mike Pence is a lot of things.
I believe he knew Trump had lost and was willing to go along with his plan.
Things got out of control and he changed course.

The turncoat part you didn't catch was him following the law on January 6th.

Please don't cry...

Yes, amazing...

Please don't cry...

Mercedes, what I don't understand is the Trump supporters on CS haven't budged one bit to any of the things he did that are part of the incitements. Not one.

The internet and YouTube is ablaze with Trump stories, too many to follow.

A good Christian...

Right. The son of the current president was unimportant to me.

Supermoon...

rob, did you rotate the photo from the previous day?

Please don't cry...

Mike Pence, who's life was in jeopardy on January 6th finally made a statement appropriate to the insurrection:

"Today's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States"

Rudy Giuliani is confirmed as Co-Conspirator 1 in Trump's 2020 indictment.

Please don't cry...

A good Christian...

(note to self: proof read before hitting the 'submit' key... also get some lunch)

A good Christian...

Hinter... Hunter... not much difference!
laugh

A good Christian...

Oh... I had to Google Burisma. I had no clue.
There you go again proving the Conservative right are always trying to pull a Biden into a blog about something else.

I didn't get to read it, but there's a new blog about Trump living rent free in liberals heads.
You are proof that Hinter (and his dad) are living in conservatives heads.

RE: US Congressional UFO (UAP) hearing yesterday

Interesting point... consider if Earth was similar to their planet(s) rovers and robots wouldn't be necessary.
They could roam this planet as if it were home.

A good Christian...

Soon my dear... but not now!

thumbs up

A good Christian...

Is there any competency test for being a Christian?
Maybe some form of certification or level of achievement involved.
Boy scouts have badges for all the activities they are certified in. CPR classes so when you try to revive a person who passed out and not breathing, you know what to do.
If I want to scuba dive, I must take classes and be tested. The same with skydiving. Classes to certify before I jump.
Are political Christians equal? I've read only about conservative Christians. Can liberals be Christian and are they considered equal to conservative Christians?

Loyalty...

No, not my nerves, but as OP of the blog, I'll focus on loyalty for Donald J. Trump as it appears to be the topic.

I've already given my opinion on Ukraine, tax dollars and 'what if' Trump were president scenario.
Republicans always regurgitate some other topic as if to prove a point. Do you want to bring up Hunter's laptop, his current legal status or Joe Biden being the most corrupt president in the history of the United States?
You're doing good... keep it up!

thumbs up

Loyalty...

Hoo, it looks like she struck a nerve with you.

It's reported Trump spent over $40 million in legal fees this year... The money came from donations for his campaign. Do you feel they've been duped, just a little?

Loyalty...

laugh

Loyalty...

Perhaps they are of the same high moral fiber.

I see Trump's lawyer claims he's "The most ethical American I know"

She defends criminals, doesn't she?

laugh

Alina Habba... without Trump she's be a name in yellow pages looking for work.

Loyalty...

laugh

He WAS a Democrat... several times.
Running as a Republican bettered his chances.

RE: US Congressional UFO (UAP) hearing yesterday

Interesting point. Agreed.
Should that be the case, they would probably do their best to cover up any evidence as not to raise questions about ancient history.

Concert fan etiquette...

Rap singer Cardi B retaliated against a concert-goer who threw a drink at her on stage at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas. She was able hit him with her microphone and security removed him.

That's a lot of BULL...

Both videos require logging in to view.

That's a lot of BULL...

Maybe Matadors have suicidal tendencies.
I think retirement for them is death.

Somewhere I read, a bull who 'wins' is destroyed.
Actually, all the bulls are destroyed.
At least they could have a barbecue for 50 and not waste the meat!
By doing so, the participants of the feast could at least say they were full of bull!

Mitch McConnell's retirement party...

Judging from his recent health scare, Mitch could easily 'slip away' in the night.
Besides, he's worth $35 million and sleepy Joe is only worth $9 million.
I think Mitch can afford retirement.
