Joey does it again...

It makes him sick too!
laugh

"Sixty-two is far below his projected total, which was expected to be around 71-72 dogs and buns"

Joey needs at least 2 days to recuperate.

Independence Day weekend...

Lots of fireworks displays on the 3rd, probably because they get to rest today.

Sadly, every year someone gets injured and in one event, a 43 year old woman died, 10 were injured and some homes and vehicles were damaged in Michigan when a display exploded.

loulou, let's say you remove the microwave and the cabinet above. You will have to patch the wall behind. What is the current backsplash and it's height?
If you sell the microwave on Craig's list or Facebook, you can recoup some money.
But... you would have to buy a microwave designed to sit on the counter. Do you have a place for that?

If the vented pyramid hood is what you really want... go for it. After all, it only money!

My inspiration blog...

Thank you... thumbs up

Cars that fly...

Here's another accident waiting for a place to happen.
Rotors in harms way.

Google it!

phat, thanks for the link!

Independence Day weekend...

I rarely delete comments. Historically, when I do they cry about me on other blogs.

You got your soapbox and urinated on my blog to make your point...
Something so important should have a blog of it's own... can you take a hint?

In the spirit of celebrating independence, Happy 4th of July!

Google it!

Gone, I saw that too.
While the video called it a helicopter, it's actually a giant drone.
Not the first and not a new concept, but getting FAA certification is a huge step.

Thanks for the video!

Independence Day weekend...

Yeah, almost sorry I mentioned it... laugh

RE: International Cusine

loulou, the 2 Anthony Bourdain videos aren't available in my location.

Here's a news story with a short video of the setup involved for a fireworks display:

Independence Day weekend...

Thanks loulou...

I haven't made plans yet. A few years ago we would meet at my daughter's house in east Hollywood, walking distance from the beach.

Cuts like a knife...

Both factual and a laugh.

Yes, I first saw it was Japanese farmers/gardeners who started the procedure of growing square watermelons. They created a metal cage to restrict the growth of the watermelons into the square shape, but the problem with the original cage was the bars would leave impressions on the outside.
That process changed to thick wall plastic cages and the result was smooth sides with rounded corners!

thumbs up

Cuts like a knife...

Test time...

How do you get a square watermelon?

Cuts like a knife...

Most of the watermelons sold here are of the round seedless variety.
The photo was from a seedless melon.

We have some local growers who have the longer melons with seeds.
They often have better flavor!

It's officially Ron DeSantis...

Not if conservative billionaire Charles Koch gets involved.
$70 million, in new anti-Trump ads.

Link:

It's officially Ron DeSantis...

DeSantis is on someone's radar:
His agency sent $92 million in COVID relief funds to donor-backed project.

It's officially Ron DeSantis...

Careful what you say. Trump already alluded if he doesn't get the Republican party nomination, he's going to create a 3rd party.

Cuts like a knife...

Uhhh... no.

It's officially Ron DeSantis...

I dislike talking about religion on blogs/forums, but I've heard he's quickly becoming the candidate from hell...

DeSantis vs. Trump has no lesser of 2 evils!

It's officially Ron DeSantis...

Good article that describes some of the questionable (and possible illegal) things Ron is doing. Thanks.

DeSantis is facing scrutiny over his use of government resources in Texas. He visited the Texas-Mexico border, his campaign posted a photo of him standing in front of a helicopter owned by the Texas department of public safety. It’s not clear who paid for the effort, but Texas ethics rules bar the use of state resources to assist in a political campaign. As a candidate for president, DeSantis is also required to pay “fair market value” for non-commercial flights.

DeSantis signed a law in Florida making it more difficult to track his travel and see who is paying for it while he campaigns for president, keeping his job as Florida Governor.
It's alleged he illegally/unlawfully transferred $82.5 million last month to a super PAC supporting his presidential campaign.

RE: Karma

"What is it with the most interesting people not living here or at least near me?"

Bom dia... many have migrated to Florida.

Education and career decision...

I'll insert an interesting twist.

I started in manufacturing at an early age and sometimes worked for large companies with more than 200 employees. Nearly all of the company owners of these successful businesses never made it to college!
One had only a few years of college and was running 3 companies that grossed over $75 million. Maybe he learned by 'street-smarts', but it did him well.

Education and career decision...

I've heard a few times that you can get a better education abroad.
That said, not all educational systems are equal and the opposite would explain why many medical students come to America to study here.
Something they cannot get at home.

Burial at sea...

With all the stories I've heard, none have mentioned recovering any of the cellphones or video equipment the explorers had with them. I'm sure they were all shooting live video when the implosion happened.

PSA...

Public Display of Affection?
I suppose there is a time and a place for everything.
Personal Digital Assistant?
I had a Casio Cassiopeia long before I had a cellphone.

Education and career decision...

I'll be back in a few hours, but this came to mind...

Great respect for those who when to a technical trade school and have certification for it.
Electricians, Plumbers, Air conditioning technicians who learned skills (in an intensive environment) specific to what they wanted to do in life and it's okay (with me) they didn't learn about the 1808 war between the Spanish and French that may have been a requirement had they gone to a 4-year college.

Chronic...

Good.
A while back I noticed a significant the number of total blogs dropping.
I used to report the number of total blogs and my blog count at the bottom of each blog and compare it to my next blog.
Sometimes a few hundred would disappear each day.
If CS is saving space on their servers, I can understand. If they are losing data, they need to do backups and upgrade their hardware.
