jac, I read (from a user comment) divulging the names & addresses of the jury is legal request of the defendants lawyer after selection, but in this case, the request came prior. I also read in this case they were anonymous, so maybe the judge realized the potential of harm that could come from a trial so public.
I read today Trump's legal team asked for the names and addresses of the jurors. If that falls into the hands of Trump and he posts their information on social media, their lives and the lives of their families would be in danger.
This is a man with a long history of attacking witnesses, investigators, prosecutors, trial jurors, grand jurors, judges, and others involved in legal proceedings against him.
Nothing like a Mafia ploy of intimidating witnesses or is it?
While Trump wasn't required to be present at the trial, he did use his social media site to post inflammatory statements about Carroll during the trial that made the judge request to his lawyer he refrain from such comments.
It wouldn't surprise me if he's held in contempt for disobeying the courts request. Maybe a day in jail would be enough to show him the judge is serious.
Most people don't know that Biden has a stutter and isn't always fluid when speaking. He hesitates often to control the stutter. It's lifelong and not brought on by his age. Because he's not snappy on questioning mean he's not capable of formulating a working plan.
Personally, I think Democrats AND Republicans need to bring in someone capable of leading this country.
We usually install the floor first so the perimeter rough cuts are covered by the wall tiles. Installing the floor after the walls requires more precise cutting to minimize the grout lines. The good thing about that is you can easily change the flooring without affecting the walls.
Let's say no one else comes forward, it will be Trump against Biden.
Should Biden get reelected and croak during his 2nd term, that would make Kamala Harris the first woman president in US history. While other first ladies assisted their husbands (Nancy Regan for example) Harris will have the title.
I find some of the comments amusing... Orzzz and Grandsiozzie especially, as there is nothing that can be said or any of his accomplishments that would make your speak otherwise.
I recall a calmness right after he took office as the craziness had stopped. The world saw it too!
Kal, You are well underway with your project and really don't need any input from me. Obviously, the travel comment was made in humor/humour. I would expect anyone/everyone to realize that. However, If you feel any of my comments weren't appropriate, please delete them.
Yes. Match the width of the floor tiles with the wall tiles. Unless you are using a baseboard or border tile to change the appearance, the 2 different sizes will not look correct.
According to Wikipedia: Felix the Cat theme song was written by Winston Sharples and performed by 1950s big band singer Ann Bennett. The animated TV series was released in 1958.
Kal, try to find larger tiles with rectified edges. That will give you thinner grout lines. Small tiles will easily show imperfections in the installation.
Also the lighting is important. What are your plans for this? If you use warm white (less than 4,000K) some colors will appear dark. Milk white and beige tile may have a yellow or grey appearance with the wrong lighting.
I did a bathroom renovation for a client who picked a tile with a little green that was beautiful in the showroom and looked like a dungeon when installed. The entire bathroom was gloomy!
Exactly... Blogs are a place to mark events that are important to you.
Mentioned a few times, we don't own the the things we do and say here. They become the property of CS as soon as you post them online. It's a business and the website is owned by others with no guarantee that what we say will remain.
So, it's a good idea not to forget the blogs and forum threads are volatile to the point of keeping an online diary where some pages will get torn out out from time-to-time. If it's super important, keep a copy on your computer or other site in the event of a disappearance.
I got my answer... The Florida Division of Emergency Management apologized and took responsibility for the alert in a tweet and stated that it would take "appropriate action to ensure this will never happen again and that only true emergencies are sent as alerts in the middle of the night."
Governor Ron said: I’ve ordered FL Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie to bring swift accountability for the test of the emergency alert system in the wee hours of the morning. This was a completely inappropriate use of this system.
Joe is going for it!
Actually, I haven't followed him to make a comment. The COVID comment was only a joke.
