I haven’t shopped in the men’s department for myself since high school..I bought Levi cords..which were only available in men’s sizes...and basketball sneakers..also, at the time, only available in men sizes..
They looked kinda like this...
A few years ago, my youngest daughter bought a pair of these...everything really comes back in style..
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
The Sixth Amendment guarantees the right to trial by jury for criminal defendants charged with non-petty offenses.1 Article III of the Constitution also provides for jury trials in criminal cases.2 As such, the Supreme Court has recognized that the Constitution protects the accused’s right to trial by jury twice,3 although the Court has grounded its analysis of the right primarily in the Sixth Amendment.4
By virtue of its incorporation through the Fourteenth Amendment Due Process Clause, the Sixth Amendment right to trial by jury applies in both federal and state court.5 A criminal defendant may, however, waive the right and agree to a trial before a judge alone.6 A valid waiver requires the express and intelligent consent of the defendant,7 along with the consent of the court and the prosecution.8 In a similar vein, a defendant may plead guilty in lieu of trial.9 A valid guilty plea requires knowing and intelligent waiver of the right to trial by jury,10 among other constitutional rights.11
From the constitution...which many people want to walk all over now...
Article II
Section 1 Function and Selection Clause 5 Qualifications No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
I have gone without cable for 4 years now...I was paying way too much for it..Got me on the cheap 2 year plan..then, steadily went up...I did not watch all that much on TV anyways...The only thing I do miss is sports...NFL and Olympic Games..sometimes people talk about shows and actors..I have no idea who they are...
Cable is not even available in the neighborhood I live in now...Most people have streaming services now.
I will have 1 gig speed service for $50 a month..which is in my monthly HOA fees...
My cable bill and my lawn service I was paying in my old home are still is more than my HOA fees are now..that is a win for me.
My son currently lives in Auburn,Washington....he only sees homeless people when he goes into Seattle...and yes, he has to walk around poop on the sidewalks. He has to park his car in a secure parking garage and either walk or take the the monorail (train) to where he is going..or, he takes the risk of his car having it’s windows smashed out.
It does cost more to live in Washington..but, his profession is unionized..so he makes more than he did in Florida.
The prices for rent and homes have skyrocketed in Florida..especially on either the west to east coasts...
Many people have moved out of my state..because it has become too expensive.
I was dreading calling my internet service to change to the bulk rate...now it is paid through the HOA monthly fees...saves me money with faster service...I thought it would have many kinks...because the toll free number was 2 weeks late...given to the residents..Easy Peasy....but, I didn’t call at 2AM...
It is getting very crowded...one of the reasons, when I built my home..I moved further south in the same county.
I had lived within a 5 mile radius all my life...Where I lived used to be the boonies...a few neighborhoods and nothing but orange trees and cattle...a two lane road...
Now, a six-lane road and and neighborhoods.
Gen Z will have to learn that to get ahead in the world, one must be responsible....and have a good work ethic...
I too, make note of it and I tell them they are doing a great job...and thank them...I think the media portrays groups the way they see fit..
I would go with Allstate too....I think Citizen’s is a last resort..which is generally higher.
I was lucky during Ian...my neighbors with lanais facing north had screens blow out from the winds...mine were fine...of course the insurance does pay..because of the high deductibles for hurricane wind damage..
I wonder if part of the reason that condo insurance has increased so much, is related to the collapse of the one a few years ago.
We are still having a building boom...and, any kind of contracting business is having trouble keeping up with the amount of housing and rentals being built..
The market here has cooled down from a year ago, but retirees (with money) are still moving here.
Many of the high school students are opting for a trade instead of a college degree.
Most companies here pay for someone with no skills (detail etc.) $15.00 an hour to start. Restaurants are paying cooks $25.00 an hour and many have sign on bonuses of 2 grand...
I do not think young people are spoiled at all..they work in many places I go to..Most are very polite and helpful..and, happy..Imagine that.
